I never heard EM say anything about it in an interview. I'm just going off ear. From the first time I heard Eminem I was like he's the white Redman haha. It's pretty clear who is his main influence as a rapper to anyone who knows hip hop and wasn't born in the 90s. I added the "em would tell you himself" comment because he would be a fool to deny it. But now that you mention it I do hear a little bit of Masta Ace in Em too.
