from a label standpoint, Wayne has outdone Jay-Z in the fact that it didn't take nowehre near as long for another artist to be recognized on his label...in no way do I think Wayne is a better business man than Jay, but from the success of the artists under them, Wayne's done more with YM than Jay has done so far...i mean think about it, how many labels really can survive and have other artists still dropping hits when their star is in jail? I mean aside from B.O.B. Grand Hustle was non existent when TI went to jail and they're back to being non existent again for the next 11 months...if nothing else you gotta give Wayne more credit in making sure that his artists can survive w/o him around...you can't say that for a nigga like Memphis Bleek (who I actually like btw)

actually you can cuz Bleek is doin alot better for himself than he was when he first met Jay....he's in a better place....alot better than all the other guys Jay-Z bought in on his label and blew up which by the way he helped(with Dame and Biggs) become household names just like Drake and Nikki....dont front and say that from 97-01(or beyond) everyone on the Roc wasn't a household name....Bleek had 3 albums out....Beans had 2 albums out, 2 movies, and a whole entirely seperate entity that he had(supposedly) 100 percent control over...them SP niggas were comin up next and a couple of guys name Just Blaze and Kanye West were doing beats for anybody and everybody...off the strength of they were Jay-Z's people....not to mention Dipset(which i wont b/c they were in the same situation as Beans but thier brand was actaully a lil more established and set up...Jay really had nothing to do with their success other than a co-sign and a release on the music)

I never said Wayne was better I said has done more in less time with YM than Jay did with the ROC...you gotta be kidding me if you think Memphis Bleek's buzz was anywehre near Drake when Coming of Age dropped...I'm not talking about the entire history of the ROC like you did in your first paragraph...that shit wouldn't be fair to compare YM which is relatively new on the scene still to teh ROC which has a beginning, middle, and end to their story already...I'm speaking solely in terms of what the artist did with the labels once given the real chance to put artist out and Drake and Nicki success wise have outdone Beans and Bleek...hell it took til Cam'Ron for the ROC to have a platinum artists outside of Jay-Z...and yeah Sigel had the movies and clothes but who was really rocking SP gear? Universal, Baby and Slim are making all the moves for drake and nikki thats why wayne can be in jail and its still business as usual. A title doesn't mean a damn thing in the music business.
