I'd like to post in this thread just to say, I wish that the ugly side of the sport I love so much hadn't reared its ugly head because its unjust and its not in the spirit of humanity.

Is this really what passionate boxing fans who have stuck by the sport should have seen?

First of all, I was watching the fight with about 100 other strangers and alot of them were new school, dont know shit, pro-Pacman fans.

So we cheering and thinking at worst we got a draw and for certain a JMM win, and what do we get?

I feel bad for Marquez mostly, he fought a inspirational fight, did more than enough to take it, but not to be.

I haven't seen the fight yet i'm gonna catch the re-broadcast on hbo this weekend but i said to myself that THIS would be the fight that would really make people realize just how brilliant of a boxer Floyd is. Floyd COMPLETELY DOMINATED MARQUEZ, dude's a great boxer and champion and you could see that he was completely bewildered on how to even land a punch on Floyd let alone beat him. But Pacquiao can handle Floyd though right?

the writer added defense but i've yet to see a judge ever give rounds for defense.
but those 3 are the things a judge is supposed to score a round based on.
manny was not effective with his aggression as he was countered and turned away with most of his offense
he did not have good ring generalship because he was not dictating the pace of the fight.
marquez was controlling the flow and getting pacman to fight his fight and not the usual flurry of punches and angles he usually fights with

which brings us to the last bit. clean effective punching
this is the only one really up for grabs.
manny had moments in the fight where he landed flush and tagged marquez but most of those punches were partially blocked
on the flipside u did see alot of marquez snapping mannys head back with that straight right hand, an occasional jab and at one point in the later rounds he was landing uppercuts almost at ease.

i can see 115-113 for marquez because he did shy away from initiating for a couple of rounds and just got on his horse
personally i see more 116-112 because there were a few rounds were pacquio was active but not landing anything and he paid more often than not during exchanges

i honestly don't know. i fell asleep in the 9th round (after buying the fight
