em and soul dont go together...soul music is made by black people...he may be accepted in the hip hop world but never say em is spittin out soul shit...he cant understand my struggle as a black man in america.

hey maybe jay is so far removed from the struggle that he cant spit soul shit anymore either but i think its just foolish to try to show how a white rapper is better than a black rapper on the basis of soul

I find that ridiculous Eminem grew up poor in a single parent home in a majority black populated City Detroit grew up around violance in a broken home

What makes him different to blacks who experienced the same things?

Why do you think certain white people are accepted in the hood cos they grew up in the hood and faced struggles so black dudes be saying his skin is white but inside he just like us

being accepted by black people is completely different...dude not black so dude dont understand what it is to be black in america...he cant speak on the black struggle...soul music is black music

em hasnt experienced what we have experienced no matter where he grew up...dude a good rapper but u are not gonna make em a soul singer...living in the hood isnt half of the shit i have to deal with here...its not a quarter of the shit my mom, my grandmother, my aunts, my uncles had to deal with growing up here...shit disrespectful for u to think a white dude can relate to being black in america cuz he from detroit

8 Mile had just came out and no black person no latino or no asian were hating on Eminem

from 1999-2003 no one was running around saying dumb things like they can't relate to Eminem people connected with him cos he talked about poverty, relationship's, family troubles, etc

Eminem from 1999-2003 was considered that kid who was white but may as well have been black since he grew up in the hood in a predominantly black City, had a best friend that was black, dressed like an Urban black person, talked like a black person from the hood etc

He was like that white token boy in every single ghetto in the world the hood can be populated 99% by blacks but there is always one white face in there Eminem represented that cos he was like that he grew up in Detroit was the only white boy in his hood and hung out with nothing but black folk

Only on the IC do you hear people talk negative about Eminem in real life black people look at him like that white dude who may as well be black cos of his experiences and where he grew up and talent for black Music

Nobody has had to struggle like Eminem with him being white and having to rapr against nigga in their culture and hes a better rapper than any of them Chris Rock said the best rapper is white to. Eminem is the best rapper because all his struggle made him write like Shakespeare and his emotion on songs is just so good better than rest.

AFTER the 22nd killing of a teenager in London this year The Sun has been contacted by a prisoner serving a life sentence for murder.

The con - known only as Danny - has written an emotional open letter to the youth of Britain appealing for an end to the violence which claimed the life of innocent bystander Ryan Bravo in a gun attack on Wednesday.

Danny, in his 40s, is serving a life sentence for knifing a drug dealer to death in 1988.

He has spent time inside some of the UK's toughest jails, including Dartmoor and Long Lartin. To keep his identity secret we cannot reveal where he is serving time, other than that it is in a prison in the South West of England. Here is Danny's eloquent, thought provoking and shocking plea to the knife- and gun-carrying young thugs on our city streets.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THIS letter is about the hardcore reality of what will happen to you if you ever murder.

My name is Danny. I am a convicted killer. For 20 years I've been caged up in close proximity with every type of murderer you can imagine. So trust me, I know what I'm talking about.

Soon after you take a life you will find yourself under the power of something you can't escape.

See, when you kill, you cross a line and some strange things will start to happen to you.

Unless you are mentally ill or a bona fide psychopath you will be haunted by some serious duppy business ("duppy" is black street slang for "spiritual").

You will be attacked by invisible forces which are beyond normal comprehension.

They will torture your head and fill you with a terrifying fear like nothing before. Believe me, you'll be petrified.

It happened to me. It happens to all convicted killers.

Tragedy ... story from

yesterday's Sun

You've stepped over that line - there's no coming back.

I've spent the last 20 years living with hundreds of lifers. I've had many deep, uncomfortable conversations which have allowed certain things to manifest themselves.

When you live on the same landing with people year after year you really get to know them. You see and hear things.

I've been told things that prison doctors, probation officers, chaplains and forensic psychologists would never even hear.

Shortly after you commit murder you'll start to hear voices. For the first time in your life you'll hear strange, scary voices coming from somewhere deep inside. How do you think you'll handle that?

Then one night you're alone. Perhaps you've been arrested and charged and you're in your single cell - then the nightmares start.

Haunting, powerful nightmares. Nightmares that make you jolt upright in your bed, wide awake, sweating and trembling.

Then you realise the spirit of your victim is in your cell with you. The duppy is in your cell and you can't get away. This is real-life Macbeth.

Victim's spirit is in your cell

You'll feel an overwhelming presence next to you. Imagine, it's two in the morning. What are you going to do - call the night screw? Get out a Listener (a fellow prisoner who provides confidential emotional support)? Risk being reported to the health care department?

You can't talk to anyone, you're hearing voices in your head. They'd say you were hallucinating and you'd end up in the "area of concern" category.

Over the years I've known many a "big man" kill himself because they can't handle it when it comes. Others have turned to heroin to numb the fear - they become prison junkies. Others are driven mad. Really, you've got no choice, you've got to learn to live with being haunted for the rest of your life. But believe me, it will take a very heavy toll.

The funny and good things about your personality will become damaged. You'll feel different in the company of others.

You can't stop yourself feeling alienated. See, no one really likes a killer. You've murdered, they haven't. So you're different.

Over and over I've seen young killers come into the system and for the first year they'll get plenty of visits. It's all high fives and hugs.

But after three years inside, trust me, the only visits you'll get are from your mum and your auntie. The girlfriends and mates will be long gone.

The gifts will dry up and you'll be forced to live on pathetic prison wages - perhaps £10 a week if you're lucky. You'll need new clothes, new trainers and you'll start to crack. People resort to doing disturbing things for cash. You'll never be the same again.

Work it out. All those years of suffering that torment and, on top of that, never knowing if you'll be allowed out of prison.

Reality

And that's a crucial point. After you kill a person you can be sure you'll be sentenced to life for 99 years.

Yes, 99 years - there's no guarantee you'll get out when your tariff is up.

The hardcore reality is that it is extremely rare for a lifer to be released on his tariff date. A tariff date might as well be written on a piece of toilet paper because it means nothing. There are currently hundreds of murderers throughout the system who have done years past their tariff dates. If they ever get out they'll be very old men.

Even if you do get out, you can be recalled at any time. You never stop being a prisoner.

See, if you do cross the line and end a human life - the most important creation on this planet - you cause unbearable grief. Mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, grandparents, loved ones - all breaking down beside a grave in gut-wrenching agony.

I know. I lost my beautiful 20-year-old son in a car crash in 2001.

I know what it feels like to see your child being lowered into the ground in a coffin.

I know about that invisible, gut-wrenching grief. And I wouldn't wish it on any parent. Some parents can never be the same. They wake up in the mornings and cry. Some need bereavement counselling and therapy sessions.

Imagine losing your brother or your sister. What would that do to your parents? Your mother? What would it do to her? Really think about it, Bad Boy.

See, when you kill, you cause all that terrible suffering. You, and just you, are responsible. You can't be the cause of all that pain and get away with it.

Call it karma, call it "what goes around comes around". Call it what you like, but you'll have to pay the price. Period.

Danny
