With Eminem you know what he's about

MC

Rapper

Singer

Producer

Mixer

Freestyler

Ghost Writer for Dr Dre

Aside from that he makes deep Song's people relate to and has emotion in his Music emotion coming from himself not a featured Artist

he has Word Play, Story Telling, Multi Syllables, Melodic delivery & Flow

And he craft's Hit Singles that have reached number one on the Billboard Chart

He makes Song's ranging from every topic from being a parent to family issues to relationship with his ex wife to drug addiction to politic's to trouble with the law to growing up in the hood in poverty so he has a great range of topics people relate to

That's partly why Eminem is the greatest of all time and is the most complete Artist

Eminem will use Multi Syllables like Camron but speak on a deep topic like 2pac and use emotion like 2pac use the charisma of Redman the Harmony of ZRO

It's what you call being complete like a Soccer player who is fast, can pass the ball, can header, can dribble etc

the complete package

Same with When I'm Gone no one did a concept for a Song like that before Eminem it was a Story Telling Song with Eminem Eminem Singing the Hook and making a Song dedicated to his daughter which is a deep topic

Same with Kim no one did a Song with a concept like that before Eminem it was Story Telling and had so much emotion

Jay Z Wrote one Song for Dr Dre Still D.R.E.

While Eminem Wrote a lotta the Song's on the Chronic 2001 Album and Writes Dr Dre's Lyrics everytime Dr Dre does a feature appearance

Both Rocawear & Shady LTD make millions in profit each year but i agree Rocawear is more popular

Jay Z own's a club yes but Eminem own's Shade 45 Radio

1.Mc's =masters of ceremony. They specialize in moving the crowd and rocking the party using rap skills mixed with cadence and style examples Method man,Redman,Mr. Cheeks,Busta Rhymes,Tupac,Biggie,Mos def,Big Boi,

2.Lyricists=More into wordplay and saying deep messages, punchlines, clever witty shit..Nas,Ras kass,Monch,OC,Andre,Killa Mike,Eminem, slaughterhouse,Ice Cube,Souls of Mischief etc

3.rappers=More about a big image than the actual music.highly marketed as a character.A rapper can have talent but,it's optional.It's more about image,clothes,personality,style Snoop,NWA,50 cent,Soulja Boy,Rick Ross,Biggie is a rapper too,Tupac was a rapper too

Now some ppl can fall in more than 1 or all 3 making them the complete all around package like jay z,Eminem,Tupac,Biggie. They all had a stronger point but dabbled in all genre's.Em is a lyricist who thru marketing is a character, pac is a MC/lyracist who's image took over making him into a rapper,Biggie was a MC with lyrical abilty who Puff made a rapper.jay z is a lyricist with a big image of a kingpin making him fall under rapper.he's less of an MC cuz he doesn't really move around on stage but,can move a crowd.Snoop has strong MC skills but,his image is his selling point

Most of the music now is coming from straight rappers with no knowledge of MCing or lyrics like Soulja Boy,Gucci, wacka,Plies etc. Most of the new southern artists are rappers who are out now cuz it's all for the money and skill isn't important to them really.it's all biz and image with no skill. Some of them rock a show cuz ppl like their song but, them themselves could not rock a crowd without the machine behind them. There are rappers on the east and west but,the South has a lot of rappers right now

I Listed Cube as a lyricist for his early work but, yeah he became a rapper when Snoop came out following the Gfunk era.Cube still will say some important shit but,his wordplay used to be much better.cube had a ill way of putting words together.

Hailie's Song from The Eminem Show

And Drake has no Album released yet while Eminem has 5 solo Album's and been in the game 10 years so think again dude

we're not talking albums we're talking pure artistic ability... being that Drake naturally sings and raps does that make him the better artist?

Sometimes there is exceptions for example Ice Cube doesn't ever Sing but he is an Artist cos he makes records people relate to based on real life topics and makes records about different topic's with emotion

Ok so u say ice cube make records people can feel right and relate 2 right? And jay isn't able 2 make those type of records?

I would say what separates the artists from the rappers is the fact that an artist is more experimental with what they do as opposed to just trying to make radio friendly hits. With that being said I think Andre 3000, Ice Cube, Nas and Zro fall into the artist category. I seriously think they don't care if the masses accept their music. They make music for themselves and their fans not the radio.

ZRO Sing's as well as Rap's and Writes Song's people relate too

50 Cent Sing's and Rap's as well as craft's Chart Topping Hit's and Writes Song's based on different topics

Jay Z Rap's & Freestyles

there are several jay songs people can relate to

and doesnt jay have 11 numba 1 albums? i think he's a chart topper so shouldnt he be in your artist section?

Its not necessary to relate to art. you just have to appreciate the expression of it. Music is an art just like a painting or a sculpture or a play. I'm sure when 3000 was recording "The Love Below" he didn't intend for it to sell as well as it did. Jay Z knows Nas is an artist who when pushed can be an ill lyricist and mc. He also knows he has a loyal fanbase.
