Sheepdog nurses abandoned lion cub at Polish zoo

Wojciechow (Poland) (AFP) - A lion cub who was abandoned at birth by his parents has been cuddling up to a shaggy-haired sheepdog and mother-of-five at a private zoo in Poland.

Parys was born last week at the small zoo in the eastern town of Wojciechow to a mother who showed no interest in nursing him, and a father who gave him one lick and then walked off.

"Animals sometimes abandon their young, as do humans from time to time," zoo owner Krzysztof Zerdzicki told AFP.

"When I picked up the little guy, the lioness came over to me and tapped me with her head as if to say, 'take care of him'. And then she left."

Zerdzicki entrusted the black-spotted cub to his pet dog Carmen, an Old English Sheepdog that had just given birth to her own litter of five a few days before.

"She was surprised at first, but she took it well," Zerdzicki said.

"She's been taking care of him, licking him, nursing him. His brothers and sisters have also accepted him as one of their own."

But there are differences. More ravenous than the puppies, Parys has been getting extra meals and will be put on a meat diet next month.

Seeing Eye Cat Adopts Blind Dog As Best Friend, Guides Him Everywhere

An Unbreakable Furry Bond:

This is the classic story of a dog chasing a cat, though it turns the convention on its tail, so to speak.

The remarkable tale of friendship focuses on Pudditat, a stray feline with a fierce reputation as a bully who grew close to Tervel, a blind farm dog afraid to leave the safety of his bed. Pudditat becomes a seeing-eye-dog of sorts, leading Tervel around with her tail in a delightful show of animals helping each other out.

Wtf.. that aint abuse. Just tell them that you having it professionally done, don't try it yourself and don't tell people that you gonna do it yourself either. Tell em you getting them cut professionally. Shit our kennel club got our own personal ear cropper and she bad as hell, I don't think she'd be doing it if it was abuse. Find someone in your area who has experience, they'll have the anesthesia to put your dog to sleep and stitch the ears up when they're done. Aint you in Cali? the pit game is serious out there, so im sure its somebody out around you with a connect.

Down here we be havin what you call "cutting parties" which is basically when a kennel club or group of people that need their pits ears cropped set up a day to have all their dogs ears cropped at once. On the day of the party erbody just comes to the host house and pay the cropper to cut their dogs ears, the more people you get to come the better deal everybody gets on the cropping.

There are some old heads who will do that shit and won't even use no damn anesthesia.. but your dog gonna be in some pain so i wouldnt recommend that.. find you a cropper bruh, it aint expensive to have done.
