*le sigh*

As stated time and time again...

1. Ppl dont watch tv the same as they did. DVR, streaming (legal and illegal) greatly effect these numbers. If they factored in those two variables...we would get a more accurate picture of how many ppl are actually watching...whether live or otherwise

2. Pro wrestling will never reach that peak popularity like it did in the late 90s and early 2ks. Pro wrestling has gone back to being a niche genre. Yes...INDIVIDUALS may become popular (Cena ) and trancend the sport...but we aint seeing AE/MNW numbers ever again.

Im pretty sure WWE knows this...but I know some of yall just wanna watch the world burn tho

wwe's last tv deal with USA was worth much less than expected. and when no other network wanted them, reality set in

WWE is at the mercy of USA

raw is 3 hours because USA wants it to be

smackdown is live because USA suggested it

there's a brand split because USA wanted one

and this is a result of the products mediocre ratings

i dont think USA cares how many people watch raw and smackdown on hulu or DVR

the excuses you're making are valid, but USA aint tryna hear it

Last TV deal with USA was worth less than expected but their company profits are the highest it's ever been, Attitude Era included. Like we said... people have other means to go about watching the shows. It's being overblown.

Because with everything else aside WWE programming is still the highest rated program on their channel.

The bolded is what I def agree with.

if it were up to WWE Raw would def be 2 hrs...USA wants it 3hrs for the ad revenue they get for that extra hr.

SD would be less expensive to produce (im assuming) if it were still taped

I think a brand split was already in the pipeline...I think USA just suggested they do it earlier.

WWE programming is one of the highest rated programs on cable PERIOD.

medialifemagazine.com/this-weeks-cable-ratings/

^^^

Cable ratings for last week ending Sept 11

USA network is top 5 primetime (behind ESPN, FOXN, DISC and HGTV)

WWE programming appears 3 times in the top 25 cable shows (9, 14 and 19)

USA is the 2nd highest rated network for 18-49 demo in primetime (ESPN is #1)

Young Man Dies at Seth Rollins Wrestling School

Several news reports are saying a student died last Thursday at The Black and Brave Wrestling Academy. The wrestling school is owned by WWE Superstar Seth Rollins (Colby Lopez). The person who died, named Jonah Snyder, was 20 years old.

According to The Rock Island County Coroner located in Illinois, he was just training with eight other students when he felt sick. the student was then instructed to sit down by a teacher, but he got worse and eventually went into cardiac arrest. He was pronounced dead later at the hospital.

The police are still investigating Snyder’s death. As of right now, Seth Rollins has not issued a statement.

Good to hear Paige is comin back I hope they dont job that chick out tho on some petty shit..

I was just about to ask before reaching this page (no pun) if Paige is even needed anymore? like if she DID leave the company would it be a huge loss?

I mean i know shes a plus to have in the womens division.. but i dont think it would even make much of a difference if she dipped on the company.

WWE?

why would USA care about wwe's profits? they want ratings

regardless if wwe programming is the highest rated on USA, they're still not that impressed

hence the 3 hour raw

hence smackdown live

hence the brand split

Nah they want ad revenue. Ratings are tanking all over the place. ESPN is tops in ratings and for months was losing money.

Raw viewership: 2.690 million viewers

Smackdown viewership: 2.658 million viewers

Smackdown: "RAW WE COMIN FOR YOU NIGGA"
