2011...Maybach Music

Maybach Music has the biggest buzz right now for any label. Ross seems to be signing ppl every other week. Not only does he have some emcees with a good following and quality music but he is also signing reggae and soul/rnb artist. Rick Ross is also like the go to guy for collaboration now, he has surpassed alot of his peers in populairty and consistantly providing quality street music. Wale, Meek Mill, and Pill have a nice buzz this summer, i could see Teedra Moses being successful with the right songwriting and production, and Masspike Miles could bring the streets to R&B like Lyfe Jennings once did.

Considering the type of music he makes and the type of people he makes it for, he shoulda done way better than his first week numbers

Why? He isn't even on a major label. That race card needs to be tossed.

Nah regardless of the people he cater to, he still on an indie with no songs on the radio.... his buzz was internet only. He did good for an indie release

Find a quote where any Ross fan said This album would do huge numbers? Are we still pretending like we don't know Why this album did 50k first week? Come on now bruh most of y'all probably thought this shit was gonna do Triple C numbers(even though that album was also a banger). You know why them gunit nerds got clowned, they still think 50 going platinum on his next album.

not all stans, the usual i.e gee, go any lloyd banks thread, and he'll remind you. i thought album could at least did the same numbers as teflon don, its not a big deal because that album is dope, i was just pointing that out

Naw i see what Ross is doing, he introduced MMG as a family, a brand, now he'll push them as solo artists....you gotta establish a brand

someone liek Jayz doesnt need to do that as the ROC brand has already been established due to Jays past ventures

Ross doesnt have the luxury of concentrating on one artist at a time, this aint rocnation where u can wait 5 years to put out an album, he himself is still coming up and establishing his own legendary status

This shit is hilarious right here. How is selling 50k first week "establishing a brand"? So these niggaz gonna split 50k 4 ways on their next solo projects? Why did he need to drop a "mixtape" as an album to promote his group?

I guess he never heard of Wayne's Dedication series, Joe Budden's Mood Muzik, G-Unit's G-Unit Radio, Drama's Gangsta Grillz, Banks' 5 Or Better/MMITB, etc. -- THOSE are all brand-builders. Not some wacc mixtape-wannabe-album.

It's safe to say Ross got too greedy on this one, and a horrendous flop is the unfortunate result.

Man, we all know damn well aint nobody else on MMG except Wale will be putting out an album. Stop kidding yourself. Those other niggas wont generate enough interest to put out an album. Pill and Meek even sound alike.

Wale and Meek will be out in 2011, Pill dropping in 2012.......its on the booklet included with album, but I guess you would have to buy it to know that. Nigga Pill and Meek sound nothing alike, are you serious or just talkin?

Don't compilations normally sell less than solo albums though?

SMH at trying to make a win a loss.

Plat artists cant get a release date. Ross and MMG probably will come in at 60-65k off the strength of name, no big single, and word of mouth.

Plus, a dude like myself is now a fan of Wale, Pill and Meek Millz

He converted the mixtape into an album.....nothing special honestly. Its just promotion. He has a decent roster and wanted to put it out there.......SO????

There is no flop! The record is flying off the shelves! Rozay has more momentum than any artist in the game today! The Black community is supporting this release!
