I actually cosign this. itunes can be a major rip off, charging $10 for mixtapes you can download for free. (im talking actual free mixtapes not something like this)

i think the game needs to push independent with all these resources i have no idea why ppl depend on majors or itunes. seeing how mixtapes are like albums these days, i'll sell em for 4.99. thats what they used to do years ago when mixtapes really started taking off on the street except the artist made no money off it. its cheaper for consumer and artists still getting paid

because folks dont want to use thier own $$$$$ and plus they want more exposure so they want to go major ..... but dont knock itunes ... imo thats the best thing that has happend for indy artist ...... an artist can sell thier music directly to itunes and keep 80% of the profit ... plus once the song is recorded there is no shipping and handling overhead to deal with when you do digital distribution ... u can just keep reshipping the same mp3s and jpegs .... verses going thru a label who would leave them with pennies per sale ...

my problem wit itnues is not everybody use it like me for instance. a lot of ppl dont and its going to be available free. i rather it be available just from one place cheaper than itunes and have someone else "buy" it and then post it for free

considering these labels seeing profit off everything, that making huge money like its 2002 gone out the window. seeing datpiff and these download sites i can just imagine if half those downloads were sales and the middle man cut out. artists would do aight as long as they droppin good shit
