Anybody else feel like next-generation isn't really that innovative from last gen?

It is like last gen with some nice add on features. Almost like an expansion pack of last gen at this point.

Shit takes awhile. Aint shit really came out

A lot of stuff has come out.. it just seem like developers are more focused on graphics & remastering old gen games

How many console generations have ya'll been around for. The jump is never that big initially.

Idk...the jump from PS2 to PS3 felt greater than this imo, likely because of the integration of internet based features.

Yes, but that is more because of the progress of other tech. PS2 also had internet capabilities, but when PS2 first came out, online gaming wasn't as viable for consoles. Speeds increased and that wasn't as big a problem when the PS3 came out. The same thing goes for graphics. The transition from the PS2 to PS3 coincided with the general transition from SD to HD. All that said, there wasn't anything mindblowing about the first PS3 games when compared to the first PS2 games, and people actually had the same exact complaints.

That's how it always works because people compare the end of life games from the current consoles to the early games from the next gen systems. If people were smarter and compared early games from the PS3 to early games from the PS4, these complaints would be deaded because there is a clear difference there.

Alot of stuff from the ps3 still isn't on the ps4. Like changing your avitar and video and pictures via usb.

Stuff like this is why I say it feels like it isn't as big if a leap. There are gains but there are also noticeable losses that they keep promising every month.
