Someone recently bought me a curved tv but it's not 4K. Thought I'd give that a years use before upgrading again.

It depends what kind of games you play. Indie titles can only be a couple of gb where as a Triple A title can be 70+.
I heard the new COD wil require 100+ gb of storage.
It's manageable anyway since you'll probably only be playing 2-3 games at a time you can just delete and reinstall as required.
If you don't fancy that I don't think it's too expensive to upgrade.

Make this easy for me. I have a 42 inch 1080p tv much I might get a new one a year or two later. Should I just buy the slim $299 or just wait on the Pro? I just only play wrestling, action and fighting games.

Sony Computer Entertainment America, LLC (“SCEA”) is the defendant and denies all allegations.
If the settlement is approved and you are a Class Member, you may be eligible to submit a claim for benefits. This litigation involves two classes. Consumer Class A is all persons in the United States who purchased a Fat PS3 between November 1, 2006 and April 1, 2010 from an authorized retailer for family, personal and/or household use and used the Other OS functionality after installation of a Linux operating system. Consumer Class B is all persons in the United States who purchased a Fat PS3 between November 1, 2006 and April 1, 2010 from an authorized retailer for family, personal and/or household use. The benefit for both classes is monetary, $55 (for Consumer Class A) or $9 (for Consumer Class B). The deadline for submitting claim forms is December 7, 2016. Claim forms and exemplars of acceptable forms of proof of use for each category in Consumer Class A are available on the Settlement Website or may be obtained by calling the Settlement Administrator.

@AP21 They now have Playstation Now for the PC.
Bad news: You have to be online to play the PS3 games. No offline mode. But there is a PS3 emulator that's out right now, but not perfect yet.

Sony's PlayStation VR turns out to be a big hit, selling close to one million units
Virtual reality wasn't quite the hot holiday gift in 2016 that some people were expecting, but Sony officials said Sunday that sales of the company's PlayStation VR have actually outpaced projections.
Sony sold 915,000 of the headsets in the first four months of availability, the company told The New York Times. That makes it likely the company will blow past internal projections of 1 million devices sold in the first six months.
That news could come as a big boost to software developers (especially independent game makers), who have been rethinking their VR plans after many failed to recoup the cost of making early titles. It also firmly establishes Sony as a leader in the VR space. (Oculus, which many considered the flagship product has suffered a series of setbacks lately, losing a case against game publisher ZeniMax which could cost it $500 million and closing 200 of its demo stations at Best Buy stores around the country.)
To date, neither Oculus nor HTC have given firm sales numbers for their VR headsets, but officials at all of the major VR companies have warned investors and analysts to expect a slow ramp in sales.
Sony had a notable advantage in the VR game, though. PlayStation VR was not only $100-$300 less than its competitors, it didn't require buyers to purchase new hardware to run it. And with more than 53.4 million PlayStation 4 units already in people's homes, that made the VR headset more enticing.

At one point, it looked like the PSVR was a failure. Sony got real quiet about it at first. It turned out that they were running out of stock and didn't want to hype it too much and run into supply issues. We'll see if they step it up when they get those fixed.
