Yeah don't know what was Herman's problem.

I know Jones Silva will become inevitable as time passes but I'm not really anticipating that fight. One reason why that fight wouldn't materialize could be because the marketability of both fighters. While Anderson Silva is the GOAT he's not that popular with the masses beacause a. most casual fans can't appreciate his class, b. he can't speak English that well, c. he's black. Jon Jones is one of the most hated champs out there. UFC is about business. Why you think Brock got nthat titleshot with that record a few years ago? Why you think Kimbo got a chance on TUF? They had to cut him when he lost to a gatekeeper (Mittrione). Iono how they would sell that Jones Silva fight TBH.

I heard similar rumors about Silva vs. GSP but we'll see. I don't see how GSP could beat him except for scoring takedowns and keeping him on the ground, grinding out a boring decision win like he's been doing ever since Matt Serra knocked him out (yeah I said it).

Silva is just a master class. If Machida is the Ryu of MMA Silva is the secret unlockable boss character that niggas break they controller over in fits of frustrations and L's.

Silva fights like he put in a Game Genie code before he steps into the ring. GSP looks superior against average opponents. I dunno how he'll look against someone beyond him.
 
@ Amotekun. While GSP looks superior he's not really finishing these guys off but is content by grinding out decission wins. It's his job and I understand that and I got a great deal of respect for him, but he's not on Anderson Silva's level in any way. Only way he'll win is by neatralizing Silva through his wrestling...

Was just about to post this. No disrespect but other then wrestling Iono what Chael could teach these guys. He's the prime example of a guy that talked his way into fights. Took a page out of that wwe playbook and ran with it.
 
I'm convinced that either dana and Chael are fucking nh, or that Chael has some dirt on dana and is blackmailing him

Average fighter gets a title shot, almost wins but gets stopped....turns out after a post fight drug test that he cheated....wins 2 fights and gets another title shit and gets stopped AGAIN....gets chased up to another weight class and immediately gets another title shot without winning at least ONE fight in that weight class....

All because if his mouth piece? Nh
 
I don't think ya'll are giving Sonnen's enough skills enough credit. Although I don't believe he deserves a title shot. Its marketable as fuck tho, so thats why he's getting it. Business comes first.

GSP is up and away the best WW. But he would still lose to Silva.

Even tho Fitch was the underdog on cards, I never had a doubt he would win, (except when E. Silva almost choked him out in the second round.) but man he really fought like he had a chip on his shoulder. He needs to do that more often. I think he can break guys like that alot more often if he turns up the pressure.

Hendo was right. This is bullsh!t. Dana is messing up the credibility of the UFC by giving who don't deserve it titleshots because they are marketable to the (middle American) masses. Brock got a titleshot with a dodgy record and lkimited skillset (back then all he could do was wrestle and his standup and bjj never became anything special)against Couture a few years ago and now this bullsh*t. Sonnen hasn't accomplished sh!t in LHW and he comes from a loss. if he won against two contenders I'd kinda understand it, but this doesn't make no sense at all. Dana can talk all the sh*t he wants but at the end of the day it's all about marketability and what sells. We saw it with Brock getting titleshots without deserving it, we saw it with Kimbo who had no business being in TUF and now we're seeing it with Chael. Pride > UFC.

Hendo was right; all you seem to have to do is talk sh*t, start random tweefs and pop sh*t and apologize (ask Wandy). I won't be watching this TUF but I will be watching him getting his a*s kicked by Jon Jones.
 
Hendo doesn't have the right to talk. Truth be told, he's the one to blame for the whole event cancellation fiasco. Had he told the UFC about his injury when it happened instead of waiting til damn near the week of the fight, they probably could have salvaged the event and the grounds for this whole Sonnen/Jones rivalry would never have been blown up.

I blame Dana/Zuffa though. It´s all about ppv to them which is why guys like Brock and Sonnen got titleshots eventhough they didn't deserve it. They had Kimbo in TUF and later on UFC when he had no business being there based on his skillset and record. It's all about money to them. They messing up the credibility of these belts by giving titleshots to guys because they sell ppv's.

 
The UFC is a business and a political machine. It doesn't truly care about the sport. It only cares about the sport enough to keep that aspect of it alive so it can continue to earn.

I will say, its bullshit to Hendo not to get this fight. He's one of the best, if not the best American-born fighter of all time and his window is closing because he's old as hell. I would be just as pumped for that fight as a fight with Sonnen. Now we have to wait for an entire fucking season of TUF?

TUF is such fucking dogshit!!!!! I'm so sick of the same fucking format! The show is floundering and this is the chance to save it, but this is only a band aid on a gunshot wound. That whole show needs an overhaul.

Fuck I'm suddenly pissed as hell!
