Hendo doesn't have the right to talk. Truth be told, he's the one to blame for the whole event cancellation fiasco. Had he told the UFC about his injury when it happened instead of waiting til damn near the week of the fight, they probably could have salvaged the event and the grounds for this whole Sonnen/Jones rivalry would never have been blown up.

I blame Dana/Zuffa though. It´s all about ppv to them which is why guys like Brock and Sonnen got titleshots eventhough they didn't deserve it. They had Kimbo in TUF and later on UFC when he had no business being there based on his skillset and record. It's all about money to them. They messing up the credibility of these belts by giving titleshots to guys because they sell ppv's.

That's true, but sometimes shit like that happens. With Brock, the HW was weak at the time anyway. They clearly used him to raise interest in the division again. He beat a couple big names at the time and then got a title shot. He didn't deserve it, but under the circumstances it really wasn't as back as people make it seem. In the case of Kimbo, he had already fought in major televised events. Sure he wasn't really experienced, but it wasn't crazy to feature him in TUF. TUF is supposed to be the proving ground for fighters to enter the UFC. Giving him a shot was not a bad move especially given his popularity. Almost all TUF contestants of worth get a couple fights in the UFC. Why should Kimbo be any different, especially given that people actually wanted to see him compete? It's not like they gave him a title shot or anything.

Dan Henderson ‏@danhendo

I guess I should just quit training to win fights and to be exciting for the fans and just go to shit talking school. @danawhite

Lol, Hendo is Sonnens mentor. No loyalty i guess.

I respect your opinion but what big names had Brock beaten at that time? His record was 2-1 I believe. He didn't deserve that titleshot but Dana and them wanted to bring in the wwe/ redneck crowd. It was all about selling ppv's.

Dana was blasting Kimbo for his limited talent prior to him being on TUF. If he wouldn't be marketable and as popular as he was, he would never be on TUF based on his skillset alone. Most if not all of those youtube fights were staged by that porn company he used to bounce for. EliteFC wasn't a credible organisation BTW.

so from alot of yall are saying.....dana became a billionaire off of selling good matchups when its really about a marketable fighter and not a necessarily good fighter?

I forget, did he win the championship from Mir or Couture. If it was from Mir, then he beat Heath Herring and Couture. If it was from Couture, then he had just beaten Herring at the time. Either way, the point still stands that there weren't many people for him to go through to get to the Championship. The division was real weak at the time.

And if I'm not mistaken, even after letting Kimbo into TUF, Dana made it clear he let Kimbo in so that everyone could see him fail and show that the real deal is much different than what Kimbo had done. For once Dana was actually right.

I believe Brock beat Herring then Randy for the belt.

And I thought Dana threw that bullshit into the pond AFTER Kimbo got eliminated.

This is gonna sound so cliche, but if Rampage gets motivated he would beat the shit out of Mitrione.

Unfortunately, the days of Rampage being motivated are long gone. There are only two times I think he's really been motivated since he's been in the UFC, when he beat Chuck for the title and when he beat Wanderlei. Other than that, I get the feeling he's just been fighting for the paycheck.

If Rampage was to lose to Mitrione, its a wrap for his career. There is no way Rampage could lose to Mitrione unless he no longer gives any fucks.

rampage always fought for money, he says that all the time. he really doesn't like fighting. His next fight will be his last in UFC.
