I'm just glad idiots are proven wrong about size differences... Skills >>> Size.

I don't know what's wrong with Struve. Maybe he can't control his arms and feet very well (typical for some tall people). He is 7 feet with a 85 inch reach and still gets tagged in the face by a 5'10 chubby dude. I know Hunt is very technical, but Struve has been training kickboxing for nine fucking years.

Well Hunt is very polished and competes in K1, so striking wise ... but for Overeem-Silva devil's advocate, let's throw that out the window, Struve's history shows guys with one shot KO power can easily fuck up Struve and quickly.. this isn't the second time this has happened to Struve...

Yeah, i agree. I'm just surprised how a young guy can't seem to improve much in so many years.

I thought Struve would was going to win via sub, but I was wrong. He was very close a few times, and almost proved me right, but Hunt stuck it out and won. I like Hunt tho nh

I don't think it proves that at all. Yeah, a simple size disparity isn't going to make up for a huge gap in skills, but that does not mean that Skills >>> Size.

To me Mark Hunt's striking ability is so far beyond Struve's, and his chin is so much better that Struve's size advantage doesn't even matter. He couldn't knock Hunt out no matter how many times he hit him.

Ok, but it's not the same thing as Skills >>> Size which is what you said. If you have a case where Fighter A is slightly more skilled than Fighter B, but Fighter B is a much bigger fighter, more often than not Fighter B will win.

Edgar >> Maynard

Cain >> every heavyweight since Kongo

GSP >> actually alot smaller than Condit in height

Skillset >> Size

but

Aggression w/Skill>> Aggression w/Size

Thats why Overeem and Barboza lost their fights to Bigfoot and Jamie Varner respectfully due to not being able to handle the unorthodox striking in the MMA game where the hands are heavier due to smaller gloves and guys will swarm you with strikes while you're worried about being taking down at the same time while a cage is behind you not saving you like the ropes would.

Saying Size >> Skill

Is discrediting a guy like Jon Jones, who has the kill to use his reach unlike Struve to go in and out, mixes up his strikes effectively and uniquely and has a great wrestling/grappling game behind all that, and has the mentality to improve on his weaknesses from fight to fight and test

I've been watching off and on, but I think Uriah Hall is going to win. Problem with TUF is no matter who wins, you will still have some of the guys on a future UFC card anyway.

Am I the only one that felt Clint tapped kinda early? Jimmy stuck to his gameplan like he should. Well done...

Struve is an entertaining fighter but I don't get how his standup is that weak when he's from Holland. Where was his left jab against Hunt and more importantly where were his lowkicks, teeps and mawashi's? I know it's easy from behind my laptop but this n*gga shoulda kicked more since he knows Hunt didn't want this fight going to the ground. Both fighters shoulda listened to their corners better though...

Struve needs to work on his standup badly and I'm kinda doubting his corner (with all due respect) cuz he gave away a good position to go for a sub and I didn't really heard his corner (I understand Dutch).

Nah UFC fell off....stopped marketing stars and fighters and been going down ever since. And not the fight quality just the sport...Dana took it far, but they need a Vince McMahon type to take them to the next level. UFC is had all this crazy momentum in like 08-09 until 2011 then they just fucked up....thought that fox deal was it for them. Eh eh
