And lol @ them being the most advanced nation on the planet and still fighting with spears. I mean I know why, but that shit is still kinda funny.

Spears made of vibranium

And fye it took guns a few hundred years to overcome spears and bows.

It was well known in the 1600s and 1700s an accurate trained man with a spear or a bow had an advantage over a trained man with a gun.

i dont think, so the Zulu were defeated by the maxim gun.

Spears , hide shields ,Bows & Arrows lost us the colonial wars in Africa.

Circa 1800s

then the Portuguese in the 1600 ans 1700s then pick, your poison, them shits was useless to guns B , it just is what it is.

Guns were innacurate and slow to load 1600s and 1700s.

There's countless stories of Europeans neung overwhelmed by indians and africans.

An Indian could bury an arrow into a tree from yards away and a man with a gun couldnt hit that same target with a 1600s gun.

If that was the case howcome we still lost and africa was still colonized? , the americas were still colonized , oceania was still colonized. Im not knocking african traditions , be truth is truth.

new technology always usurps old technology and its a big part of the reason why we lost not necessarily because of disorganisation or lack of training.

Guns obviously got better, but them shits were slow at first. They were one shot at a time and to reload you had to pour in the gunpowder, put in the bullet, stuff that shit down in there, etc. after each individual shot.

And the range and accuracy was shit.

I'll take a spear or bow and arrow over that shit anyday.

Long time coming for this Black Panther movie. Blade set it off regardless of most will say. I remember talking with one of m boys about how Black Panther would appeal to comic/action movie fans regardless of him being African. Yeah some wont like it because they are prejudice but hey....that same reasoning put Trump in office.

From a wish, to a rumor, to Phase 3, and now a trailer of the actual movie. Black will people support this movie like no other before. Believe that. An African hero gets the spotlight. We're here. We're really here.

That is a good point. It really wasn't til the gatling gun came that bows, spears, swords, etc... were really outclassed on the battlefield. Still funny though.

On another note, this white company about to put out one of the blackest movies ever. They got black people from top to bottom. That's gotta be a first.

Not really. A depletion of manpower lost the colonial wars. Africa had basically given away many of it's strongest people in the slave trade. By the way, people in West Africa weren't as dependent on archaic weapons as people think. After all, guns were one of the things that the Euros traded for slaves before they started colonizing.

Southern & Eastern Africa did not have any depletion of manpower due to slavery , slave trade wasnt that big of an issue in the Zambezi delta and going further down.

Yall dudes can "power to black" bullshit your way through this answer all you want to help whatever black esteem issues or narrative yall AAs have, but apart from some small battles most natives lost theirs wars because of lack of superior technological advancement in weaponary from the late 1400s onwards and its nothing to be ashamed of, it just is what it is.

Will Black Panther set up Infinity War?

its already been set up.

When? It's the job of Thor Ragnorak and Black Panther to do it

Thanos was in Avengers so everybody knew this is all what it was leading upto.

Eveything leads up to Infinity War.

More importantly for Marvel Cinematic Universe fans, however, is Feige's tease that "T'Challa's story is very important to us as it links to the next Avengers films, which is why we brought it forward."

Originally scheduled for November 2017, the movie has been rescheduled twice: initially to July 6, 2018, and then to Feb. 16, 2018. Avengers: Infinity War – Part 1 is scheduled to be released May 4, 2018.

How Black Panther will lead into Avengers is likely to remain a mystery until 2018, but it should be noted that a number of Infinity Stones remain undiscovered ahead of the announced "Infinity War." Could Black Panther's exploration of Wakanda include the discovery of one of the remaining stones? As all the best superhero stories would put it, to be continued ...
