People who saw the IMAX preview said there was a scene with Strange facing off against Dormmamu. I guess that could be a cameo, but that certainly would be a waste.

On how much the movie is modeled after other Thor flicks:

"I made an effort to ignore the fact there are other Thor films," Waititi wrote. "I honestly know NOTHING outside of what I’m doing. I’m trying to ignore the rest of the universe and just make my own awesome movie," he continued, adding later that he has "no idea" whether or not it will meld with the first two movies.
