I fell asleep on Doctor Strange twice and most my super marvel invested friends said it's nothing to talk about outside of knowing Stranges origin story and cool trippy visuals so I just decided it was alright to skip.

Doctor strange > GOTG 2

The film isn't setting up anything (except the conclusion in the sequel). Marvel has said over and over that his movie is actually ending a bunch of stuff.
