In the leaked Infinity War trailer, you could see Loki kneeling holding up the Tesseract. Also saw Thor landing on the Guardians spaceship. I think Thanos fucks up Thor and Hulk and collects Loki and the Tesseract, then will use the Tesseract to teleport to the other Infinity stones to gather them quickly for the movie.
