I don't watch Marvel Studios movies anymore. Haven't since The Avengers back in 2012. I will say this though if this rumor pans out I will definitely watch the F4 movies they put out. I mean we finally get Thing vs. Hulk and all the crazy family sci-fi shenanigans like Nathaniel Richards the time traveller and Franklin and Valeria etc.

Reed Richards belongs in the same universe as Peter Parker, Tony Stark and Bruce Banner. No question about it the MCU will be much more richer for it. Getting Marvel's first family back under Marvel in terms of media is pretty much kismet. I hope they pull a "Hank Pym" and make it that they were from that 60's generation in the movie universe but got frozen or lost in time somehow. The first movie should be a period piece throwback to the 60's Stan Lee and Jack Kirby stories all the way,

they are doing movies not a tv series with multiple seasons. they are not going to put all that in the movies, maybe thing vs hulk.

The creative success of the MCU amongst movie going audiences during the last 8 years really says otherwise.

Who says that stuff would even be limited to just an F4 movie series? the scope of the Richards family literally spans across the entire Marvel universe in the comic books. If this rumor ever panned out one can assume the same would obviously be done in the movies. They're like the Bat family of Marvel comics. Nathaniel Richards alone could easily be retconned into S.H.I.E.L.D.'s history. Shit one of his descendants is one of the most prominent Avengers villains of all time.

yeah but they would need about 7 sequels to show case the ff's adventures and rogues galllery. I say they start out with mole man, next movie they take on doom or some other villain who then brainwashes hulk to fight the thing. another movie they take on the inhumans then they ban together to fight a common foe then the crystal and johnnie thing pops off. then they could take on mole man, frightful four(more contermporary team with wizard, klaw, titana, dragon man. hell black panther could make an appearance, so could spiderman theres so much they could do. they are a team of adventurers and explorers more than a superhero team something like a superhero version of star trek.

one question though, would anybody have a problem with a live action she -hulk. say for example the thing temporarily left the team and she hulk joins.

Honestly, they could set up the F4 to be another Avengers if they wanted. With the Avengers you have a team of different established heroes so every Avengers movie is a crossover. F4 is a team first and foremost, so they don't compare to the Avengers in that way, but they do interact with the Marvel Universe on a wide level and their comics often include lots of other heroes. In other words the F4 team would always be in place in the movies, but they could make every movie a crossover movie by featuring lots of other heroes, villains, and misc Marvel characters.

i swear some of ya'll get so emotional over this topic

let me clarify a few things

I know its a business. i know marvel was in a bad space financially and they had to do what they had to do to stay afloat. All of this is hindsight. Marvel probably didnt see themselves as a viable medium in the movie space which is why they sold their properties instead of keeping them in house.

The thing is, and im purely speculating b/c its how i would feel. If im marvel, and i've created all these timeless classic comic characters and universes, im pissed to see my vision/creations not given the attention they deserve. I agree, its not Fox/Sony/Universals fault that Marvel was in bad financial shape. That doesnt make it any less fucked up that now they dont wanna do co-ventures with Marvel or they are super hesitant to do so b/c they only care about the financial aspect of it.

Secondly, outside of Days of Future past, and Xmen First Class, the other xmen movies and Wolverine were shitty. I dont buy into what they did at the box office b/c these movies are rated G if im not mistaken, which means they want children to be able to see the movie b/c....they are the ones who get their parent to buy merchandise, the games, etc...If you judge the movies as they are, disregarding how well they do at the box office, i stand by my original statement, that DOFP and FC are the best xmen movies Fox has done.

LMAO you're projecting your emotions. You so far into your feelings, you don't even care about facts. Stop acting like a chick.

Marvel sold those rights because they DID themselves as being viable. But they needed the startup money. Why would they sell the rights if they didn't see potential for success in the movie business?

Marvel is a company, not a person with "feelings". Stan Lee has appeared in all of these movies, be it by Sony, Marvel, or Fox. If he is content enough with his creations coming to life, why aren't you?

And X2 is one of the best comic book movies period. Like, definitely top 10 and arguably better than First Class.

Also, there is a history of bad blood with Fox and Marvel dating back to 2000 or so over that Generation X tv show that ended up in court.

If you think Marvel ain't thinking about the money first and foremost, you're delusional. In fact, thy care more about money arguably than Fox or Sony. Marvel is the one who need money so bad they sold X Men, Spiderman, Fantastic Four, Blade, Punisher, Silver Surfer, Daredevil, Ghostrider, and Hulk. Marvel s the one who refused to buy back those rights for the amount of money Fox and Sony were asking for. Marvel is the one who kicked out Terrance Howard because he had the nerve to want a raise after starring in a successful film. Marvel is the one making billion dollar movies which afforda them the risk of making movies about Ant Man, talking trees, and racoons.

This fanboy shit is hilarious.

so the fact that marvel was on the brink of going bankrupt had NOTHING to do with them selling off properties right?

why they sold Spiderman
https://www.quora.com/Why-did-Marve...gers-Why-not-keep-the-characters-all-together

Marvel sold the film rights to Spider-man at least eight years before Marvel Studios LLC was even formed. At that time, they were just a publishing house (with some TV assets) thrilled that a studio was interested in putting one of their characters on film. No one, except maybe Stan Lee, at that time, imagined there would ever be an Avengers movie.

Meanwhile Marvel itself was filing for bankruptcy and MGM had bought 21st Century films. After Carolco and Golan sued each other for a while and the other companies sued for a while, the rights eventually ended up with MGM, but after more lawsuits, the also failing MGM relinquished rights to Columbia Pictures. Sony is now the parent company of Columbia Pictures.

im not going to go back and forth about what movies you feel are better. My fault from the jump was me giving my opinion and passing them off like it was the general consensus. So let me reword my earlier comments. I personally liked First Class and Days of Future Past more than ANY of the other xmen movies including Wolverine.

and not sure if your last comment about fanboys was directed at me, but i'll answer for myself. I aint a fanboy. I am a fan of quality movies. Doesnt matter if its DC or Marvel. I dont own stock in any of them, so i have no vested interest.

You're going in circles. They sold the rights because they still wanted to compete, despite being on the verge of bankruptcy. If they didn't think they could enter the 21st century making successful films, they would have just gave up and only made comic books and toys. Maybe a cartoon series here or there.

What YOU said was that they didn't see themselves as a viable in the industry. I'm saying that that is ridiculous.

Doctor Strange Rumor: Rachel McAdams Role Revealed

doctorstrangerachelmcadams-142795.png

When Rachel McAdams was cast in a major female role in Doctor Strange, most everyone assumed that role was either Clea or Night Nurse. Well, a new rumor from Latino Review says it’s not Clea.

According to the report, McAdams will be playing a Night Nurse, but not Linda Carter, the Night Nurse who became romantically involved with Doctor Strange during the events of Doctor Strange: The Oath. Instead she play Christine Palmer, a less well-known Night Nurse character, but one that has a surgical background similar to Stephen Strange’s.

Marvel did not comment on the report, so we can’t know for sure, but as there were only two real contenders for female lead character in the film – Clea or Night Nurse – there’s probably at least a 50 percent chance this is true.

Bet it'll be a small cameo like Chris Evans in Thor 2.

No it won't.

Creators said they intentionally kept Thor and hulk out of cap vs IM bc they didn't want to oversaturate the characters bc they had Thor 3 coming

Especially if it sets up planet hulk. Hulk has to get stranded on a planet as a result of something in Ragnarock. Ragnarock is like doomsday on Asgard so hulk well probably be needed in battle.

I can see hulk and/or Thor missing in action for infinity wars part 1 and both or one believed to be dead.

Daniel-Bruhl-Baron-Zemo-630x420.jpg

The Avengers will be forced to choose sides in the battle between Captain America and Iron Man in Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War, and while friends will become enemies in the epic showdown, there will be an actual villain in the mix: Daniel Bruhl is portraying Baron Zemo, the Nazi-era baddie from the Marvel comics, but the actor says directors Joe and Anthony Russo are putting a bit of an unexpected spin (or two) on his character to freshen him up for his big screen debut.

Bruhl says the Russos have found an interesting way to modernize the villain — and that he won’t be what you’re expecting, stating "You would be surprised, it’s different than what you’d think. It’s loosely connected to this character. But that’s what I like about the Marvel guys, some of the characters and things they’re dealing with always reference to current events so my character is from a different area than you would think."

Bruhl also revealed that his version of Baron Zemo will not wear the signature mask. Zemo famously wears a purple hood in the comics as a result of a brawl with Captain America, during which the villain’s face was covered in a lethal adhesive that resulted in his hood being forever grafted to his face (until after World War II).

Never heard of dude, but from what I'm seeing online, the comic version doesn't seem like it needed changing much (unlike Batroc the leaper). Whatever.
