Shes Valkyrie. Im not too hip one her origin, but shes one of thor's friends from Asgard.

The Asgardian goddess Brunnhilde is one of Asgard's mightiest warriors and the leader of the Valkyrior, Odin's choosers of the slain. Known simply as "Valkyrie" outside of Asgard, she is a long-time member of the Defenders and more recently also a member of the Avengers.

Shouldn't Thor and Odin know all too well about the power and influence of Thanos? Thats kinda what Thor was hinting at towards the end of Avengers Age of Ultron.

Thor: Ragnarok Info Reveals New Details About Planet Hulk Ties

Thor is gearing up for his third solo outing this year, and fans have been begging for any information regarding the new film. Marvel - and director Taika Waititi - have promised that this movie will be different than anything the fans have ever seen, and the info that was released this morning definitely confirmed that.

The photos that EW debuted (which can be seen in the gallery below), promise a vibrant and exciting world for audiences to step into. It seems like Taika Waititi has really delivered with this one.

If you read through the article that came with the photos however, you may have noticed some other bits of info hidden within. For example, the piece reveals a ton of information about the fictional planet of Sakaar - the home of Planet Hulk.

It was confirmed that Ragnarok would take pieces of the Planet Hulk storyline, and that the gladiator arena battles would be a part of the film. However, no other details about the planet's inclusion were given - until now.

First, the article gave this little detail about the planet, confirming Thor's involvement in the gladiator fights:

Her [Hela] attack on Thor sends him to Sakaar where he is forced to become a gladiator and realizes he’s no longer super special.

This could explain the loss of Thor's hammer in the promotional photo.

Following that info, Chris Hemsworth gave his own depiction of the famous planet of war.

“[Sakaar is] basically where every wormhole across the universe dumps out its trash, so you get people from all walks of life with all sorts of incredible abilities and powers,” Hemsworth explains. “No one cares what prince or king Thor may have been in another world. Also, his strength is pretty easily matched with those he finds himself amongst.”

This quote explains why Thor ends up fighting, and exactly how Hulk winds up in an intergalactic battleground.

If you're excited about Thor: Ragnarok, be sure to give it an Anticipation Rating below. The film currently stands at #6 in our ComicBook Anticipation Rankings - can you help move it to the top?

In Marvel Studios' Thor: Ragnarok, Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok – the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization – at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger – the Incredible Hulk!

Thor: Ragnarok is directed by Taika Waititi and returns Chris Hemsworth starring as Thor and Tom Hiddleston reprising his role as Loki. They are joined by Cate Blanchett, Idris Elba, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson and Karl Urban, with Mark Ruffalo and Anthony Hopkins.
