How Avengers: Infinity War's Massive Amount Of Characters Will Be Managed

Avengers: Infinity War is set to push the boundaries even further in terms of scope, and if you have a much larger film, chances are you need even more characters to make it all work as planned.

In an interview with IGN's Terri Schwartz, Writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely were asked if the movies would feature separate teams in Infinity War Parts 1 & 2 since the forming of a Secret Avengers-like group is teased in Civil War, which would also make the teams a manageable size for each film. McFeely took the first swing at describing how they are approaching the sizable amount of people in the film.

"When outlining it we certainly had those conversations. I mean in the same way, that in Civil War not everyone has the same amount of scenes or lines, I think you can assume that with so many characters we'll have to be as rigorous right? Where we say well these people will have sort of larger stories and these people will have smaller stories, and hopefully, they can flip in some cases. I know a few right off the top of my head that have a small part here and bigger part here."

Markus built on that, saying: "Yeah, the people in the background in one will come to the foreground in the second one. You know there will be moments where every last damn person who is still alive will be in the same room, and those are just a nightmare to write because Marvel, being very good about hiring very good actors who like, the 15th person there has two Oscars, and it's like oh my god. So yeah, it's crazy."

It will be a tall order, especially if Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 introduces anyone else to the mix by then. Seeing how they handled it in Civil War though bodes well for both Infinity War Part 1 and 2.

There are bunch of characters that can be excluded from these movies that already have things going on.

Hawkeye, Widow, War Machine, Ant-Man, Spider-Man, and possibly Hulk.

Actually the end of Part 2 may lead to the World War Hulk film.

I didn't watch GOTG, but did Gamora show exceptional skills?

GamOra was cool. Kind of like an alien black widow but fighting isn't as cool.

When thunderbolt Ross was talking to the avengers about the destruction they've caused and how they need to be reeled in, one of them should've brought up how he illegally created abomination and is responsible for the destruction in Harlem.

Ross would make a great antagonist for the black panther film....him trying to secretly infiltrate wakanda with help from the inside or a neighboring country.

Which is stupid because Gamora is supposed to be one of the best hand to hand fighters in marvel

Saw it today.

Easily my fav Marvel movie. Shit was trill AF. Super fun watch. No boring parts. BP my nigga. Smash Aunt May, str8 MILF. Ant-Man was funny. Cap, Falcon n Bucky are a real coo trio imo. Freaky white broad smash Scarlett Witch.

I gotta speak on spidey tho. When i 1st heard he was gone be added to the MCU n gettin a reboot. I was super meh. I personally have grown tired of spiderman (even tho he is one of my fav super heros). But Marvel FUCKIN NAILED IT. Real talk Tom Holland killed that shit!!! The humur, the wanting to impress, the immaturaity, the youth, everything. Perfect.

Props to the Russo bros. With sooo many characters n story. This could have been overwhelming. N they coulda fucked it up. But they didnt. Props to them.

Cant wait to watch on blu ray.

I felt the same way about Spider-Man, but now he has that Marvel humor which every character has to have. I'm not feeling Spider-Man in this current era.

And I don't like the age that aunt may is at either. The emotional connection we had to OG May and Ben was because they were old and could impart knowledge and lessons. It seems cheapened of Uncle Ben whom is a 38 year old working a desk job talking about 'With Great Power, Comes Great Responsibility."

Help! my tablet wont let me save the pic. I think my tablet turned gay. :#

What was this pic?

It was a heavenly sight of thickness to behold my friend.

Repost

Word and who was it?

Just saw it yesterday, A1 movie right there.....I got a DVD level copy so I'm watching it again.

Cap always follow the orders / does as he is told while Tony doesn't always follow the orders. It was cool to see Cap not follow orders for once and Tony try to follow orders.

Bucky gave the German police that work with the battering ram.....cot damn

That whole stairway scene reminded me of Dare-Devil's stairway scene

BP was boss level status.....hopefully he shows up in a couple of more MCU movies until his movie comes out February 16, 2018

Spider-Man didn't disappoint and they nailed it with him being teen Spiderman. Spider Man doesn't come out until July 7, 2017 so hopefully they still capture him being in high school (Tom Holland is currently 19 years old)

lol at Spider-Man and Ant-Man being fan boys of members that were on their squad and the opposing squad

Cot damn at Bucky choking out Tony's mom then looking at the camera

I don't care how many times they do Spider-Man, dude is my fav Marvel hero. I enjoyed the Toby flicks, but I didn't feel he made a good Parker or Spider-Man. Andrew did a much better job, and even though his Spider-Man 2 gets shit on, I loved it. But Hollands quick time onscreen as Spider-Man blows every other movie out of the water. I am too excited for his solo movie.

Saw it Tuesday in XD(same as IMAX but wider screen)and thought it was superb. CW left little to no room for any obscure feelings cause it earned your trust in the beginning with the intense straight to action opening scene. So many satisfying and great representation of character moments for the comic book and casual fans it was a relief for those like myself who were hoping they got it right for the new edition of Avengers added to the team. From T'challas sophisticated boss like demeanor and martial art skills,Parkers intelligence and humor, to Ant-Man's surprise enhanced abilities took it to another level.

Seeing them run towards each other in the trailer got my attention but watching them actually collide in fisti cuffs on screen was surreal. At that particular moment it looked like a action sequence taken straighten out of a comic book. That airport scene alone was worth the price of admission. Even though I felt that line from BW asking "where still friends right?" was unnecessary since Spidey and Ant-Mans presence was enough to lighten things up it was still a great scene that was pulled off nicely.

Hopefully War Machine will be back in shape and can get more screen time in action in future fims cause at this point its long over due. When he pulled out his baton I thought he was going to do damage 'apparently not'...it broke. Maybe now some of you understand my criticism with his role in AOU. Im not bashing him,its the writers that have to stop downplaying his character cause he's a beast when in rare form. Also as much as I enjoyed Panther appearance the constant interference shortened his fight scenes and would of been more memorable had they been extended a tad before a monkey wrench was thrown his way. But I give credit to Marvel for showcasing character development in Falcon's skills as a heroe and allowing him to shine within his own light.

Overall top 3 Marvel movie that I will see again in theatres...Salute to the Russo Bro's for a job well done....
