dawg...even other rappers will speak about Wayne's work ethic...that's damn near the first thing they will say...it's been said in plenty of interviews when asked about him.. his work ethic is out of the ordinary to most..

i guess you didn't get the memo....rappers will not talk bad about the most popular rapper for fear of losing records sales or getting dropped from label....what you expect them to say...every artist ahve a work ethic.....its their job to stay in the studio

lol at people thinking the sales have to do with his "work ethic" in the studio. It has nothing to do with that and everything to do with his willingness to work hard to whore himself the various markets that are willing to buy albums. Work ethic is one of the most over rated stats in any profession. If you score 60 points in the nba but shoot 20% from the field then your team is loosing 130 to 94 every game. Wayne has had more misses than any other top tier rapper in the game. So yes wayne did a whole lot of whoring for the album and his hustle worked. But the fact taht he has had misses like rebirth i am not a human being 400 degreez and parts of many of his great albums like filler tracks in c1 and c2 is what makes him mediocre.c3 did a milli and niggas dont listen through that whole album 3 years later...c4 gunna be the same way great sales this year but aint niggas bout to bump this shit in 2015 talking about its a classic.

first of all, the carter 3 came out before relapse and thats the first album that wayne did numbers like that...Em been making numbers like that since he came in the game, album after album, regardless of ratings, quality of music and etc...and you can bet that his next record sells about the same as his previous, he ain't gotta do shyt to sell the same type of amount of records...where am i lying here???? :unno....

That Em sells the same amount of records everytime. When he debuted, he was doing 3 mill which was about standard as you had rapperis like DMX doing 4-5 mill on a debut. Snoop did about 3 mill on his debut as did Biggie. Nelly did 9 mill on his. 2002, 2004, and 2010 are the only times in Em's career where there wasn't another rap album in close proximity of his sales. Recovery is the only album besides MMLP that sold more than the previous one. Eminem Show is the only album that he's had that sold the same as the album before.
