I do. I have Windows 7, server 2008: network infrastructure, server 2008: active directory, and hyper-v. all of which active directory was def. the hardest to pass. and even though its fairly similar, there's no since in obtaining server 2012 as the adoption rate for businesses is and will be little to none. now that that's over, im currently studying on getting my ccna to be more marketable overall

I'm seldom applying for jobs right now due to this project, thinking of a different way of attracting clients, employers, companies, etc. Working towards Web Developer but will look to add ETL, Data Analyst, Graphic Design, and others to my portfolio.
Also looking at getting into Data Analyst positions. What kind of classes or training are you taking for this field? Where are you looking for this kind of work?
Have IT background, already taken financial modeling courses, statistics course etc. Wish I could land a position on a suitable project so I could take a Six Sigma course, since I know they're big on that title.
I'm currently looking at Data Analyst, Business Analyst. From what I've seen, most firms want some experience with ERP- mainly SAP, BI software, and SQL. Employers seems to have gone away from training and noticing potential, and now want someone who can hit the ground running. Not to mention, all of these contract positions with limited benefits SMH.

Im in Business intelligence.. Primary tools i've been using are SQL Server, Tableau, & SSRIS.. Im going to pick up my MBA in a few months.. Been in the field 10 years.. I've been looking to get into upper management.. From what I've seen thats where the paper is.. Before learning SQL make sure you understand relationship databases... The tools will change over time but understanding tables and how they relate is something that won't really go away as far as structured data is concerned.. Unstructured data/hadoop/cloud technology is a different beast..
Now that i think about it.. I would start look into that if you are planning on doing data.. Hadoop is the future..

That's where I'm at now too. I've decided to take a Technical Support position close to my home in order to save up. But that's still one of the fields that I'm looking to get into. It's been hard now since I've started my current position because it's all focus on TS. But right now, I'm looking to build up my Freelance/Consultant business in hopes of going that route to fill the gaps. Unless I'm in a position where I'm actually learning the tools, I feel I wouldn't get a chance to focus on ETL, Structured/Unstructured Data, SQL, NoSQL, etc. That's why I'm working to start building Independently so that I could BETTER invest my time and space into these various tools and dashboards.
I've just did a calculation of just the ETL skill and the Median Salary for a BI Developer is 79K. Definitely where the industry is going:

Yeah.. I had a Phone interview a few weeks back.. And being that I wasn't strong on the ETL side of the house I missed out on that opportunity.. My architects usually take are of that side.. Once the data is in the database I work with the architects and business stakeholder's to put business logic on the data and then report on that data.. That is definitely a place where I am looking to bolster my skills.. It isn't even that hard.. You just need some real world experiences/application and the ability to articulate that to someone and you should be straight..

Thanks for the suggestions. Yea, I've worked in a variety of different fields before finally breaking IT, so I know that should help. I was starting to get into ETL reporting until I got called for this position, but this is one course I would check out for ETL:https://www.udemy.com/automatingetl/#/
