From a business standpoint Rosenberg and Hot 97 are in the wrong, you have fans that paid money to see Nicki perform. Doesn't matter how Rosenberg felt about YM/Nicki musically, the fans came to see Nicki and didn't come to see Rosenberg rant on stage. Since they are in the largest radio market and have access to other big name local rappers, Rosenberg/Hot 97 can get away with this. If he was working in any other market, dude would have gotten fired or very least suspended.

Its similar to the Jeezy/Monie Love situation in my opinon.

What RANT though? He simply made 1 sentence about the song Starships before introducing the artists who was performing at the pre show i think it was and then it was over.

I have had time to digest this thing and at first i was thinking whats the big deal then I looked at it from a business standpoint. You do NOT take shots at the headliner of YOUR event. Your opinion of Starships is your opinion but for business you keep that shit to urself. What Wayne did was a business move. He stood up for his artist.......Now lets play devils's advocate. What if YMCMB DID take the stage knowing how somebody representing Hot97 felt about Nicki. You same muthafuckas claiming it was a bitch move would be laughing at YMCMB for performing somewhere they were openly not respected.....

not really ...i think hrap said it best ...you come on and defend yourself ...shit you got an open mic and 60k to get behind you ...taking your ball and going home is a diva move ...not hiphop at all is this not summer jam B WTF is going on ....

Jay z, Nas, and if you wanna expand it, Michael Jordan, and Oprah have all held these types of 'petty' grudges

Jayz hasnt been interviewed by Kay Slay perhaps- ever...he single handedly changed Cristal's balance sheet due to 1 statement they made

Tommy Hilfiger was erradicated in the black community off 1 slight he made.

I could go on.

You and most others continue to think like fans and on a MICRO level...these artists and owners of a BRAND must think on a MACRO level.

To your other commnent re: fans. They'll get over it. One thing about having pull like YM (wether we like it or not, they have a monopoly on mainstream rap) and you dont have to put up w/ shyt...well...you dont put up w/ shyt lol Not rocket science.

GTFOH ....."Micro Level" .... did you really just compare Tommy Hilfigire degrading an entire RACE to a hiphop opinionater ............................ giving his opinion??

Thats exactly what I did.

I also compared Wayne's decision to 2 highly publicized Jay z grugdes, 1 Nas, as well as Jordan and hell, even Oprah. All valid,

You have nothing to articulate on that tho, huh

I also pointed out how assinine it is to say the host of a concert has the right, while acting on behalf of his EMPLOYER, to voice HIS 'opinion'.....on the act his employer booked Lmao THINK fam smh

the fact that you would do something like that allows me to see where your mentality is ..... which really ..imo is irrational ...your comparing apples to oranges ignoring significant differences & context within each situation while simultaneously thinking that shit really makes solid sense ...i mean ..if it makes sense in your head great ... but im not wasting my time debating that illogical ass shit brutha .... no offense

Wither it was the wrong time or not Rosenberg is not the issue, he's a scapegoat. The fact of the matter is simple. YOUR FANS ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT. They buy your albums, they listen to your music, they go to your shows. THEY MATTER MOST. The fact that Young Money disregarded their fans like they were nothing shows who they really are. Who cares what Rosenberg said, this is HIP HOP, you go on stage and let them know.

So some of you can cop pleas if you like they left the fans hanging that's a fact. All the spinning and going on the radio and blaming Rosenberg doesn't change the fact you had fans out there that paid money to see you and you left them hanging. Also like Ebro said, stop the nonsense. Nicki technically wasn't Headlining anything. Summer jam doesn't have a headliner, It didn't say on the ticket, Nicki Minaj and Young Money's summer jam, it just said Summer jam. If she didn't do the fans dirty, why is she giving a Free concert? Cause they know they fucked up.
