I'm not sure if i'm just overly impressed with this Detroit Mixtape, or i'm just sleeping on dude period.

Ehh.. Nah, its definitely not the latter. I brought his first album purely because i wanted to here "I Do It" through my car stereos. Although there's a few decent tracks on the album, I was flat out disappointed with it and told myself I should've expected less anyway.

Fast forward to today. The Detroit is receiving a lot of positive reviews, and he's been holding his own on songs with other artist.

Is Big Sean the most improved artist this year? OR .. Does it go to an artist like Meek Mill?

I'm wit you on Big Sean...the first person to come to mind when I saw this thread. I couldn't bring myself to fuck with his music long term prior, but he done bulked up my playlist with his most recent work. .

I feel the opposite regarding Meek Mill. The broke, hungry, dusty braids Meek was way nicer.
