Can you explain H Rap why The Slim Shady LP which has the most shock content/Slim Shady persona Songs along with Relapse took 12 years to sell 4 Million and both Relapse and The Slim Shady LP are Eminem's lowest selling Albums ever? both sold around 4 Million to date

Yet The Eminem Show which is an introperspective, personal, heart felt Album pretty much from start to finish has a Diamond Plaque and sold 10 Million and is his highest selling Album ever

Can you explain why Recovery like The Eminem Show is another Album that is pretty much introperspective and emotional from start to finish with a message on most tracks is currently on it's way to out selling The Slim Shady LP & Relapse yet Recovery only came out exactly a year ago?

Can you explain why Eminem's personal/heart felt Singles like 'Lose Yourself' & 'Not Afraid' topped the Charts and reached number 1? yet the shock value Singles like 'My Name Is' Charted quite low and no where near the top 10 let alone number 1?

Keeping in mind white people are majority of his record buyers

While you are at it H Rap

Explain why for example deep and heart felt Substance Singles like 'When I'm Gone', 'Cleaning Out My Closet', 'Sing For The Moment', 'Beautiful' and so on Charted much higher than the shock value negative Singles like 'My Name Is' 'Just Lose It' 'We Made You' and so on

Hip-Pop artists dont really represent HipHop to me, its like comparing Jimi Hendrix's Rock music to Death-Metal.

Only two HipHop artists went platinum in 2010 Emenim and the Canadian mixed kid...compare that to HipHop sales history and tell me when the last time an African-Americn didnt have a platinum album in a calender year.

Just because Emenim & Black-Eyed Peas sell a bunch of records dosent mean hipHop sales are looking up.

Regardless of our mutual opinions he still supports the music.

The operative word in the statement is "to you". Eminem is still considered a Hip Hop artist to a much greater degree than the Black Eyed Peas and Flo-Rida. It's not like he's irrelevant to the Hip Hop world like a Flo-Rida who would drop an album tomorrow and it wouldn't be dissected and discussed on Hip Hop message boards and magazines. Same with the Black Eyed Peas. To their credit though, credible artists like Nas and others have co-signed them even to the degree of coppin' Will.i.am's beats.

It's like as much as Neo-Soul artists are considered it's own sub-genre, they are still looked at as R&B artists even though a D'angelo record shares little similarity to an Usher record or a Jill Scott album shares little similarity with a Brandy album.

To be real, only albums i heard in it's entirety are SSLP and MMLP

MMLP has Stan, which i like more than any song on SSLP, but as a whole album of i would say SSLP

recovery was good but it was not the album he wanted to make. how'd he go from a whole album about poppin prescription pills and rapin and killin one year and then one with none of that content at all. and drake, the hottest new dude out, has his producer on the first single, and rihanna, pink, and lil wayne are on it but no royce, 50, or d12. not even dre. the label came up with that whole albums concept

The Slim Shady LP = 10/10

The Marshall Mathers LP = 10/10

The Eminem Show = 10/10

Encore = 5.5/10

Relapse = 8/10

Recovery 10/10

I think Recovery has to stand the test of time it only came out last year but i can play the Album from start to finish with out skipping a track and it's an Album a year later that gets a lotta play regularly

This is where you are wrong cos Recovery was the first Album Eminem had a 100% control over hence why he stopped with the typical lead Single formula and dropped a banger of an inspirational type lead single like 'Not Afraid'

Eminem has also said Recovery was an Album he enjoyed making had a lotta fun recording it and was the Album he wanted to make just a full Album with nothing but Substance/emotion/message

He's mature all the people he did make fun of in the past was not serious hatered it was light hearted humour

I think Recovery is just a great Album you got deep Songs, very Catchy Hooks, decent Production, diverse topics, then you also have your fun Songs etc

And of course just pur Emotion

the real order is MMLP > SSLP > TES > Relapse > Recovery > Encore

I think The Eminem Show is the Album of the past decade

I think it's his best Album as far as Content, Emotion/Passion, Lyrically and Production

It's an Album that is flawless IMO
