weezy will be a legend, on pac level? naw

but for his era he is holding it down, the generation coming p on his music will consider him a legend

same way the dudes who came up on jay consider him a legend

we all know jay and weezy aint on pac level, but there generation thinks so

Weezy and Wayne>>>Pac

Pac had Gucci.Waka lyrical skills

Wayne may not be loved by everyone but the dude has made a lot of hits. What does it take to be a legend? Some major hits, really pushing the game creatively and having a bigger than life personna. Weezy has done all 3. Trust, he's not my favorite rapper and I don't even really listen to him but you have to give respect where it's due.

Jay Z is better then 2pac though

You can't be serious. Pac > JayZ in EVERYTHING.

Like it or not, Wayne is already a legend (I'm not a huge Wayne fan but I appreciate him & his music). For a while when you turned on the radio, Wayne was the ONLY nigga who was just SPITTING. No hooks, nothing, just rap. A Milli, 6 Foot 7 Foot, etc. I missed that in hip hop. Plus Wayne has been doing it since he was 12 years old, this is his entire life. So whether you like it or not, Wayne is hip hop to the fullest and he is a legend

Cosizzle.

most of these new rappers are wack...

Nas influenced Kanye, Eminem, Jay-Z, Biggie, Pac, etc.... they are all great artists in my eyes so Nas is a legend...

Kanye has influenced Weezy, J. Cole, Mars ( as far as beats), Drake, etc... who are all great artists in my eyes

who has Weezy influenced that is great in todays game?

Niggas ripped Luda for using the flow that Wanye uses now...

lol @ Kanye influencing Wayne, Kanye was influenced by Wayne way more than Wayne was influenced by him

Nah. Its good for Hip Hop.

And I dont see the comparisons between a joint project and a solo album.

People are reaching with the sales comparisons.

Distant Relatives
Young Money album
Bad Meets Evil
Self Made
Watch The Throne

All of these albums did less than the solo artists woulda done on their own.

I'm not the biggest Wayne fan anymore but seeing the hatred and backlash he got from his last two solo rap-albums selling a million overnight was disgusting.

I don't agree with men wearing womens clothes or promoting gang culture but I recognize the significance of moving that many units in a week.

I've never been the type to hate on another black man so I have no problem with Wayne moving the units he moved. I haven't listened to the album yet, but I'll check it out sooner or later. I'm a fan of a lot of artist that don't move many units whether it's r&b, hip-hop, jazz or some other genre I might appreciate so it's more about the music to me. However, I will acknowledge the fact Wayne's holding it down for the people who bought his shit. I haven't really listened to him on a regular basis since Carter 2, but I always manage to give his albums a listen to see if it's for me or not. I applaud the success of all black men even if I shun their music or beliefs. We already have enough people shitting on us as a race. I don't think I need to contribute to the bs unless it's truly warranted.

http://www.rapbasement.com/lil-wayn...llion-copies-the-first-week-details-here.html

**** The numbers are in! Lil Wayne's new album, "Tha Carter IV," sold over a million copies during it's first week in stores...This marks the second album in a row for Lil Wayne to pass the million-sold mark during the first seven days. The new figures give Wayne's "Carter IV" the 2nd highest first-week sales numbers, behind Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" at 1.3 million.

**** "Tha Carter IV" also broke the United States iTunes single-week album sales record by registering around 345,000 downloads according to Billboard. The Young Money family recently celebrated saying...

“We did a MILL in the 1st week AGAIN!!! WE including all of u who helped and purchased da Album!! Love y’all!!! #YMCMB…C4 boom,” (Mack Maine)

“A old head once said…..’Men lie women lie numbers don’t’ C4 milli in da first week" (Mack Maine)

“A million here, A million there…Congrats Weezy! YMCMB" (Nicki Minaj)

"C4.BMJR.#Dont Lie 1m. 1week They Know" (Birdman)

**** NOTE: Some sources are reporting that Lil Wayne's "Tha Carter IV" sold JUST UNDER a million copies. The exact figure depends on your source, more to come!

the irony that you have every other thread dealing with race but you co sign a dude who co signed the white girl mob who is actually racist. And you co sign a black man cooing to get white fans by being a poser skateboarder and play pop rock chords shitty on a guitar. lmaoo that shit cray.

One man's cooning is another man's marketing...

If Wayne was a fake blood like REALLY fake, he would be dead...and you know it...

Niggas fuck with that soo woo bidness shit...Rock to it or not...you can't knock the hustle...

The IC is the only place where selling a million records aint cool....Lames
