You know, last time he did this I thought Carter 3 was gonna flop, but hey, let the nigga do his thing. Wayne has built his brand completely independent of what conventional execs say. Dude floods the market with new music every month almost and STILL hasn't gotten stale. I don't get it.

yea Wayne is the GOAT, these other rappers cant do the shit he does

Juvenile, BG, Etc would have stayed with Cash Money?

Let's be honest for a second, he was good and his debut went platinum. However, Juvenile was clearly the face of Cash Money at that time and BG was probably 2nd. Imagine if they would've stayed on the level. Do you think Lil Wayne would be international phenom that he is now?

Yeah, because they were already grown and he was a kid back then. Soon as he developed he would have easily surpassed them, just like he has done.

That's true but also look at this, if Juvenile and BG were still hot at the time he gotten grown, do you think he would've gotten the same push they got when they were on the label?

gotta agree with getwitcha lil Wayne blew up b/c he got better then just blew up with his non stop features and grinding. why do i have to imagine if they stayed on that same level. we can clearly see that juvey and bg didn't stay on that same level. just b/c they left cash money doesn't mean their music had to suffer.

See lamontdc post. Its not like just because they left made a difference in the music they put out.

Its like this, you are the coach of the little league team but you also are a father of of the players. Your "son" is not getting the shine like the other players are. So you do stuff like make one of the stars run extra laps for trival matters (or steal money), or you trip one up from the sideline while they running for the touchdown (or steal money). A few years later, your "son" is number 1 by default and you can even make a Like father Like son album to top it all off.
