The difference between Ja rule and Drake
Ja makes songs like this

and Drake makes songs like this

The difference between Drake and Ja rule is evident when you bring up their content but I guess that's not important anymore because people on the IC don't like music anymore

I hope he says so Drake can have a reason why he shouldn't be held lyrically to the same standards every other contendable emcee is held to when they make GOAT-like claims.

I hope Common not only apologizes but he calls Drake and they do a duet freestyle in song form over the radio

They should also ask him why he dissing someone over taking his queen........ which is real hip hop right

Actually had this album back in the day, it sounds nothing like the Drake album. Next?

Different beats and voices. Same concept and execution.

Drake isnt doing anything new that Bell Biv Devoe, Ja Rule, LL, Nelly, and 50 didnt do 1st, but with more integrity.

Imma just say this real quick

1. I think Drake should respond, regardless of the "diss me and you'll never hear a response for it"

2. Common is one of my favorite rappers....Common>>>>>>Drake.

But here's the spin, Common has been around since the early 90s, his place in hip hop is cemented. Why the hell is he dissing a rapper only 2 albums deep? He should be going at someone more on his level, especially not someone who has said numerous times he won't respond to diss records.

The real kicker is this: When I hear of someone dissing Drake for being soft, the last person to come to mind is Common. Regardless of his beef with Westside Connect, dude has made plenty of "soft" jams. And that cannot be denied.

So now yall are in here acting like Common caught feeling over Serena?

Was she his wifey? Nope. Is there any proof that Drake was smashing here? Nope.

And I'm pretty sure Serena and Common been fucking whoever they want for the last couple years.

I called it 600 post ago.............
What's was the name of that one song L Boogie was tricking on?
I'll wait.

Picking on? Really cuz? so none of those three are capable of handling themselves?
I'm glad they running around the underground scene picking on non established.....oh wait........

@KingdomKame, lets be real, Drake couldn't take a nap on an airplane.
Serena got him as a shopping consultant

Listen, Common is one of the few wise elderstatesman of rap, this is not a good look. Like when KRS picked on Nelly, as much as I detest all that singing shit, it just werent right

But why does that matter though....shouldn't matter how long you've been in the game....

and there is footage of serena dancing around in drake's condo, which serena pulled down
common and drake both caught feelings

http://ohverlycritical.com/news/2011/09/video-serena-williams-dances-in-drakes-condo/
pulled down by serena williams

I'm not sure exactly what's been said yet, seeing as how I haven't waded through all of the pages, but has anybody stated the obvious yet? The obvious being that "This is hip-hop". I'm pretty sure "rap" artists can be competitive without being involved in "beef". If Common wants to stake his claim as being the best lyricist/emcee and therefore steps on what the public perceives as the best, so be it.

Who can argue with the man? He's had some missteps, but his collective body of work overshadows the low points of his career.

Niggas act like hip-hop isn't supposed to be competitive. A lyricist is meant to mentally stay on his toes at all times. If Drake wants to throw his hat into the ring of "lyricism" then muthafucka be prepared for someone calling you out on it.

Popularity never equates to actual skill. I like Drake's music, but on Com's worst day Drake would get bodied on the lyrical side of things.
