He can feel free to do it.

He can also feel free to look like an ass doing it and adding himself to the long list of rappers who come out of nohwere to diss Drake over like....nothing.

I mean at least Luda had a reason, even though he let that shit fester for a year before it was time to promote the next album.

How you know it's over nothing though?

To all those sayin Common is soft, ask yourselves, would Drake ever have the heart to go at Ice Cube? After No Vaseline, no rapper would dare go at Cube. Common had balls (n/h) and demolised them Westside Connection niggas. By the time Come Close came out, nobody thought Common was soft. They already knew not to go at him after the battle wit Cube.

yes.............

"Yeah, man, y’all niggas man, you soft muthfuckers"

And said he directed it at soft rappers.

Yet he made this.

Which, while I think is a brilliant song, is soft.

That's hypocritcal cuh. Feel free to try and twist and distort that, but it's the truth. If this was coming from Jeezy or some shit then it's a different story. But COMMON?

And to answer a) He was weighing in. People do it all the time on twitter. It's not like he was dissing Common via twitter b) Cause he's a cornball c) Because it just shows how Common made music a lot like "ALL THOSE SOFT RAPPERS OUT DERE THAT MIGHT CATCH FEELINGS OFF THIS INNOCENT VENTING SONG!!!"

What's it over then. cuh?

Innocent until proven guilty after all.

LOL @ Anyone saying "Common is Soft'. The same Common that ate Ice Cube one of the hardest rappers of all time? Stop, Drake is soft, Common is not. Doing a few RnB records that actually were deep and had meaning fails in comparison to the type of songs Drake is doing. Also "Come Close" is a song about a relationship that features the legendary Mary J and Neptunes on the productions, the song wasn't great but it's far from the type of simping Drake be doing.

It's so disgusting that I don't even want to listen to Drakes music, I can't believe the influence his music has had on theses so-called males.

This is the man who also made this:

i think being "soft" goes beyond your music. Calling someone "soft" because of a song they made on a experimental album doesn't make sense. (Regardless of popular perception) saying Common is soft is like saying Outkast is soft or Cube is soft for doing movies

Drake can diss Lil Kim, but grown men can't diss Drake

Word, Drake losing some of my respect out here. He had no problem effortlessly dissing Lil Kim but he wanna tuck his nuts in and run at the wolves. He probably would get herbed by them Mindless Behavior niggas.

I don't know what it's over. Don't mean it's over nothing though

So you nor I know what it's over.

Nor does anyone else weighing in.

Hell, Common probably doesn't know either.

But we're not allowed to say it's over nothing though. Solid.

LOL @ Anyone saying "Common is Soft'. The same Common that ate Ice Cube one of the hardest rappers of all time? Stop, Drake is soft, Common is not.

Since you mentioned the Come Close drop, I'm going to assume this was directed to me.

First off, where did I say Common was soft? Who said it if I didn't?

Every little person who chimes into this makes the same three weak ass points.

1. "Herpa derp common aint soft"
2. "Derpa herp na na Common made them type of tracks deep so it aint the same
3. Drake dont want it, Drake fake etc.

So this one was obviously 1. But you don't have to be soft to make hard music and vice versa. Lupe Fiasco is from the same city, has a street and actively CHOSE to not base his music around that. Just as Common chose to make soft ass music and be concious. He even acknowledges it himself on Kid Cudi's Poker Face song.

And here comes #2 right on schedule.

It doesn't matter who you do the features with, or how "deep" the song is. A soft song is a soft song. And Come Close isn't half as deep as you're hyping it up to be.

But okay, you're not making soft music as long as you have Neptunes production and a Mary J feature.
