Every team has a weakness, especially these days.

But the trick is doing what you do best well enough to cover for those weaknesses.

I re-watched all 3 games, and there were a gang of plays where cassel, manning, and Rivers had wide open receivers, but didn't see them because we disguised the coverage pre-snap and/or sent a blitz that made the QB throw a fucked up pass before he wanted to.

If Manning and Rivers couldn't solve our defense, Cammy won't do much better.

Roddy never said anything negative about cruz or nicks. He just said Cruz was a small slot receiver. That's like saying Jordan was a 6'6" shooting guard.

Aight - Keys to the game...

1. Stopping the run between the tackles (after re-watching the first 3 games, that's our biggest soft spot defensively.)

2. Start fast WITH the run game.

3. Take care of the ball and the ball from them at least once.

4. Use the same confusing coverages that fucked Manning and Rivers head up. We caught Cam slipping with a game clinching interception last year with a zone blitz that was picked off by Cory Peters (DT). So I know we can confuse him too.

5. GET HARRY DOUGLASS INVOLVED!!!! I can't stress this enough. Julio, Roddy, and Gonzo-the-GOAT will command 99% of coverage attention. That leaves Harry Douglass (who is our fastest WR) open. He should get at least 4 touches a game. He's always open.

Panthers need this game more than we do, and Cam might be geeked up being back home and trying to bounce back from his pouting last week.
