Yeah Roddy teaching him well. Even though I wanted AJ (for obvious reasons) Julio is gonna be a problem for the league for the next 5-10 years. Nigga already coming up on that top 5

I really think Julio was a better fit for us than A.J. His skill set compliments the other things we do well.

But the scary thing about Quintorris is that he ain't even got started yet. I fux with his personality too. Real humble, Jerry Rice-esque work ethic (which Jerry Rice himself complimented) and he loves to do non-glamorous shit like blocking.

And he ain't a diva. A.J. is more finesse, Julio is more beast. Kinda like the difference between Adrian Peterson and Arian Foster.

Aight, time to hand out SEASON AWARDS.

***ROOKIE OF THE YEAR:

KONZ! Big boy is exactly what we needed him to be. And he'll only get better.

***MOST IMPROVED

This was a hard one. Dunta stepped up, Dent got better as the season went, and even tho he wasn't on our roster last year, Bobbie ROMack (aka Robert McClain, lol) he's gone from a undrafted young journeyman to a solid reserve corner. And even Matthew Glacier stepped up, but I'll have to split this one up between....

PASTOR KROY! Well uh-huh!

Dimitroff is proving once again that he can find the diamonds in the rough. Kroy ain't the strongest, fastest, or most talented D-lineman in the world, but he leads the league in heart, and his motor is diesel.

Decoud is a certified ball-hawk and he's no longer the tackling and coverage liability he used to be. Only player I shit on more than him is Crisp Owens, but I haven't been able to say shit about Decoud all year.

***DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Another hard one. Willymo did his thing, old man Abraham got double-digit sacks again, but since all of our defenders have missed some time, I can only go by who we missed the most when they were out. And that's a no-brainer...

SPOON!

We haven't had a true defensive leader since Tuggle retired (Brooking tried, but - no.) Now we finally have that leadership again.

***OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Second straight year that he's stepped his game up. He put up career numbers last year and then eclipsed them this year. And then shitted on his haters by throwing the deep passes as well as any other QB in the league. In fact, he's 5th in the league in yards per attempt, #1 among starting QBs in COMPLETION %, and top 5 in every other QB category including yards, TDs, and QB rating.

***ASSISTANT COACH OF THE YEAR

I'm just glad that I can even give this award out this year. Kutty did his thing with the offense and they're ranked higher than our defense, BUT... I posted all the best QBs performances against us this year and the stats speak for itself. We needed a defensive coordinator that could help defeat the elite QBs in this league, and that's exactly what this guy has done...

***GOT MILK? AWARD (for injury prone niggas that finally stayed off the Injured list)

images

He's even played through some injuries. I see him limpin around and grimacing and shit, but now he fights that shit off and keeps balling. Props.

***NEWCOMER OF THE YEAR

Probably the easiest one...

Brought a swagger to our defense that we haven't had since Prime was shutting down half the field. But I will also say that the BEST move we made in the offseason was --- what we DIDN'T do. No high-priced free agents, no prisoner-of-the-moment cuts or trades after the playoff lawse like most teams would've did. We just got some new coordinators and role players to add to our already strong nucleus.

Damn, just found out that we've given up the least amount of passing touchdowns this year in the league.

I see you in the unemployment line, BVG...

Smith, asked today if he has a plan on how long he will play his starters Sunday against the Buccaneers, said: “We’re going to play the game to win.” “That’s how we approach it,” he said. “It’s an important game because it’s division game. All games are important. Does it have no bearing? It really does because we want to win every time we go out there to play.”

I hope starters don't play longer than the first half. Bucs are a dirty, shitty team (i.e. that victory formation shit they do.) So they would love nothing more than try to hurt one of our starters.

Besides, I wanna see our reserves get some burn. Not even third and 4th string, but niggas like Harry Douglas, Bobbie ROmack, Akeem Dent, Drew Davis, etc.

Dudes that get burn but still need more experience. You truly become dominant when the no-name niggas on your squad start balling.

Props to Julio making the Pro-Bowl for the first time.

Shouts out to that nigga that said Julio would never have a 1,000 yard season after he was drafted. lmao. He damn near had it last year in just 13 games, and now he's a All-Pro.

Shouts out to the Cleveland Browns front office too.

Alot'a snubs tho. Roddy, Spoon, Decoud, WillyMo, etc.

At least the WillyMo snub will help in contract negotiations.

Hopefully, NONE of them will be able to play in it tho.

willymo and spoon missed games, so that i can understand. no pro bowl for "rodney" tho? foh

Willymo will miss Sunday's game too. Good. Smitty says he should be 100% by the first playoff game.

That's why I want all the starters to only play a half at the most. If we get out of the Tampa game with no injuries, our defense will be healthiest its been since week 1 before my nigga Grime Time went down.

It would be goat if he could come back this year, but that I.R. is a death sentence.

Falcons expect John Abraham to be

OK By Jason La Canfora | CBS Sports NFL Insider December 30, 2012 5:16 pm ET

The Falcons expect defensive end John Abraham to be OK, according to a team source. He left the game due to injury but was checked out postgame and is "fine" according to the source. T

Kutty needs to stay. I hope he does anyway. I heard even our Special Teams coach about to get some interviews.

On another note I didnt even watch that game yesterday. I dipped out the house before halftime. The Falcons looked like they didnt even wanna be there. Everybody didnt play like that but some of them did. They might as well have just rested the starters

Whats yall prediction? Who u think we playing in two weeks?

I got a feeling we'll play Minnesota. I see Minnesota stealing on Green Bay and Washington beating Seattle.

That would make the Vikings the lowest remaining seed which will have them playing us.

Even if the Seahawks win, if the Vikings beat GB, we automatically get the vikings.

I think we'll start fast against whoever we play and you'll see some new wrinkles on both sides of the ball.

I got the feeling Julio will ball out and Turner (yes, Turner) will do well.

The matchup I want is the Redskins but I would agree that we'll probably see the vikings. I like that matchup too AP is a beast but Ponder wont have any help on the outside

bilde

Cause we all know Mike Jenkins ain't bout that playoff life

Now I'm hearing Nolan will interview for the Philly job.......

yea I told my homeboi last night that I believe Minny will beat GB again.
