If you think like an A&R and not like a fan you can see the shift in the music and have an ear for what's Hot and what's Not.

The game is not about the gunplay/crack super-gangsta ish any more it's more about the J.Cole/Wale/Drake/Big Sean prototypes.

The mainstream buying demographic are not going to embrace a 37 year old rapper with a beef-gimmick and limited skill-set when they can relate to Krit, Kendrick, Mac Miller, and Meek Mill who bring a fresh new energy to the game.
