Yeah either he had major influence on Ultra Light Beams while he was making this or he was making shit like this and kanye was like "yo chance lets make some gospel shit". But it def seems like a theme just for this album.

Off topic but I think the type of music chance makes is the future of where rap music is headed - uplifting, more Jazzy, orchestra types of sounds. The drill music turn up shit is going to transition because rap fans are older now and need something that speaks to them. Hip-Hop is pop music now and so now you need a genre that can touch both the young and old.
