Jay may of surpassed BIG, but he still hasnt caught Pac and he never will

Pac beats Jay in every fan poll conducted...

Pac hit niggas souls, which Jay has been unable to do and thats why he will never see Pacs legend.

Pac at 25 set the standard so high, rappers been swagger jackin him since 1996, Ja Rule, 50, Jeezy, Rick Ross....even the new upcoming rappers like J Cole

Yeah there a better rappers on the the mic than Pac, but what hey dont have is the guys soul, his passion and heart and his realness. Pac was the only rapper i can think of who could make any type of song he wanted and put it out as a single and have a hit record. Nigga dropped Brendas Got a Baby and Keep Ya Head Up and then goes and drops How Do U Want it with Porn hoes in his video....

Nas > Pac > Jay Z > Biggie

I'm a Pac fan (or stan, whatever, i am not easily offended LOL)

But, I think Pac was an all rounder legend.. because Lord knows others were better lyrically, YEP. It was fact though Pac had the charisma, the charm, the conviction in what he said etc etc the list really goes on and on.. and people aren't just fans of Pac or hold him in such high esteem because of just his lyrics lol it's crazy to even think so, because he was NOT the best lyrically.. but he was way ahead of the rest as a complete artist and did it all while checking out at the age of 25.

Now that to me is why i look at his career, the entire career and think, wow. 25 and you can leave that kind of imprint on the rap game, you can only applaud it.

And I think had Biggie lived longer, would have gone on to be viewed like that also.

Jay-Z IMO will never be looked at as on the level of a Biggie or Pac. They had such short lives, and major, major impact. Jay's impact is minimal compared to these 2.

LOL every fan pole, Eminem is the goat in every fan pole and i damn sure don't believe that. I hear that same tired ass argument about soul, people relate to music for different reasons, thereos just different approaches to this rap shit.

What standard, being a average lyricist and a average mc overall. Jay has influence too, he influenced Kanye,Wayne,Lupe,Buddens,Cole,Fab,etc, i hear more fake Jay-z's today than i hear fake Pac. If anything niggas emulate the worst aspects of Pac (thug life and going to jail).

I personally feel that Nas does what Pac does, but he is by far more lyrical and creative artistically, Pacs image is what sold alot of his music too. If the nigga looked like Craig Mack i don't think alot of those songs would of crossed over.

Looking back RTD is dated as hell and wasn't nothing that great lyrically imo. Ill take Aquemini and Ressurection over RTD anyday, neither one of those albums are dated. Big is luckly as fuck he had a genius like Puffy to guide him and executive produced his albums, Big had the best set up out all the great rappers imo. He had a red hot exec who had the music scene on buzz, Puffs ear for beats and music, etc.

thats rubbish dog, pac beats em in every fan poll, they stopped including pac in fan polls because he'd always come first....the only real major poll em has come close to pac is on the vibe mag poll, they both tied...which is crazy pac been dead 15 years and em alive and kicking

if it werent for pac buddens wouldnt be making the music he does...pac made a opening for niggas to express themselves without all the bullshit

nas is a one track record, he's one dimensional, he talks about the same shit, but he's good at what he does....pac was an all rounder, he could get political, he could get gangsta, he could get sexist, he could get club, he could get poetic, etc...when nas tried to go club on a nigga he dropped ooocchawallie lmao, nas always plays it safe.....Pac had the package (no homo), ofcourse image sells, but he had the voice, the background, a great life story etc...he does have an iconic image, but so do mj, elvis, bob marley, prince, hendrixx....

artists like pac only come once in alife time, it's easy to say he was this and that, but he was special and arguably the first biggest hip hop icon

the problem with BIG is these young kids don't fuck with him...older niggas ( 24 and up) fuck with BIG....i know 15 year old kids who can't name 4 big songs, cant even name his albums..but they heard of him, but don;t fuck with his music.

Pac is Tony Montana of hip hop, everyone knows him, his life story, his image...it dont matter he died in 95, niggas will still talk about him in another 15 years and bump his music...

Big is Frank White, a few kids know who he is, but more of a cult fanbase which decreases with each generation...
