Fazeem, what does it say about NYC that BIG was King of NY for 2 years from his first album and Jay-Z has been rapping since 1989? Does NY like homo/molestation lyrics? Did Hip-Hop make the wrong choice by siding with the "lesser rapper" in BIG while Jay-Z made his 2nd album under Puffy's direction with a Bad Boy feel?

This thread is null and void because BIG was hot from jump so if he had the same years as Jay-Z, then it's not certain for Jay. He took BIG's style. Jay-Z on Fu-Schnicken's flow and the Das Efx songs was not the mafiaso nigga on Reasonable Doubt that dropped in 1996. I love Jay but he ain't fucking with BIG while BIG was alive. That's all that counts. The proof? He took that nigga's album style and image while he was alive and then took the lyrics after his death.
