Tay Roc improved immensely after Charlie Clips killed him the same way Ored did after Swave Sevah did in terms of consistent rounds. Ironically I think Clipse battle vs BMagic gonna officially bring the beast back in him for awhile. You can even say BMagic took it to another level after his match with Real Deal and so on.

Some niggas need to get their asses handed to them to tap into their full potential.

Everybody has their own opinions, but how can you give Ill Will that battle? He choked twice and all his best shit was in his first round. Also, calling Roc ridiculously basic is a hell of an overstatement. When I think basic, I think of guys like Cash Eatin'. Roc uses a bunch of gun references, but the setup and the punch that goes with 'em be crazy.
