but i was just reading this article about the fall of grindtime and drect mention the battle and says

The Jin battle falling through was also a tough one to handle. Jin is one of my favorite batters of all time and I was hype for his comeback. As you all know he was set to battle Illmaculate, then Dizaster went bananas and Jin accepted both battles. Jin was going to be in LA on November 24th (I think), but Dizaster was on the MTV 1Million dollar battle and didn’t have time to prepare for both. We had the option to do the battle on the 24th (which I suggested was a safe option), but Lush thought a New Years battle would be a great idea. As we were still discussing the battle with Jin’s management, someone released the flyer too soon and Jin’s manager became angry at our unprofessionalism and called the whole thing off. They were a few shady instances in this situation from both sides, but we never directly spoke with Jin (he obviously accepted in blogs though.) Things didn’t end on a good note and Jin’s name was unrightfully dragged through the mud, as he was just trying to help us out. This KILLED me – I felt really bad for Illmaculate also, who had every right to blow up, but never said a single word about the situation publically.

I dont know if anyone here has picked this up yet. Apparently KOTD might be trying to setup Loaded Lux vs Hollow Da Don. The only way I see that happening is if it takes place in Cali, I dont think Hollow can get through the boarder

If they give Lux 40K, they're motherfucking retarded. He's clearly trying to price himself out the scene with that tag. The same shit Pacquiao/Floyd did with each other. Same thing Hopkins did to avoid Roy Jones. Guaranteed if this gets made, he won't have 40K worth of heat for Hollow. Hell, he didn't have 40K worth of heat for Calicoe.

I can see a legit rapper asking that like Cassidy at his height. He's skipping show money to write, rehearse, and battle. 40K is covering a percentage of what they're losing. How in God's name is a dude, who up until the Calicoe battle, was known to the Smack DVD/Lionz Den audience only worth 40K? What is he sacrificing? Is he touring? Where? I'd actually like to see him live if that's the case.

Otherwise, don't make it seem like this dude is that much bigger than the culture when he's predated by 20+ years of battling.

Appreciate the clarity. Mook's been a clown-ass nigga with the prices, though. He was talking about 25K years back, and all I kept thinking then was, "Who wants to hear dude for free let alone 25K?" His dopest battle is against Young Hot or whatever.

Still, if Star or KOTD pull this off, the diva shit's just going to continue. A bunch of people with inflated senses of worth and ego gonna start demanding bigger checks when the revenue stream just isn't there. Tickets already $100 a piece. What's the biggest venue they've booked for one of these things and how many people got in?

It was about 50/50 (or 45/55) maybe a little more leaning towards Hitman, but if you had no prior knowledge of Jon Jons bars alot of people gave it to him, cuz his shit was cold and on point. Meanwhile the knowledgable fans were like Jon Jon was wack for stealing Hitman and others whole SCHEMES, but ya it is what it is tho. I still think Jon Jon got talent tho, but hes better when he leaves the multiple choice at home.

yeh i told him he was bias and judging battles based on whether or not he fuck with a rapper and other shit,nigga called me a hater

next day i log on to the group it said i was kicked out, i laughed like a mf

when u judge a battle you have to grade the rounds against each other no matter how good or bad they are

like the big t/surf battle

i judged it big t 2-1 based on the rounds

t had the better round 1 and 3 while surf round 2 was better

he said surf best round was round 1 so he felt he won that one
