Am I the only one who feels alot of the battles between long serving battlers seem to be a bit

weak? Unless the battlers have issues with each other overall they're underwhelming.

I think it has something to do with how alot of them are buddy buddy behind the scenes it kinda takes away from how ruthless they would of went at the opposing battler had it been someone they don't chop it up with and are in contact with on the regular.... Kinda like how you insult your mate for laughs but would never go too deep incase you hurt feelings and ruin the friendship but any newcomer to the circle getting torn apart on the spot.

I'm sure that's part of it. Also think about this. Nothing is at stake! I mean everyone has a rep to uphold but official winners are not chosen in these battles, therefore there is no "$4000 if you lose, $8000 if you win" type of clause in the contract.

Also, in any type of competition/sport you have those who develop a certain level of skill and continue to challenge themselves and work on their deficiencies and dig deeper to get better, while some start feeling themselves and get lazy or overconfident. A lot of these battle rappers take that "confidence" to a level of "delusion." The crowd/fans can humble some of them if they remain honest though.

This is why they need to stop rehearsing within the camp. Some of them pause so much I swear I can see their rehearsal, "blah, blah, blah pop his dread wit the fo'/now that's a mop and glow"
