Upcoming Battles In The Month Of April
With over 30 battle events already booked for April, it can be hard to keep track of it all. To make things a little easier, we’re highlighting some of the more high profile upcoming battles. Scroll down to the bottom for a list of upcoming battles in the month of April. You can also, head over to our events page, for flyers from all of the upcoming events.
Upcoming Battles For URL In April
While there has been a lot of talk about upcoming battles for URL, official dates and line ups for events haven’t been announced. One that has been confirmed, is the Bill Collector vs Shotgun Suge battle, originally scheduled for Unfinished Business. It’s been announced that the battle will be taking place on April 20th, but it isn’t known whether or not it will be a one off, or if there will be other battles on the card. There’s also been talk of an event on April 27th, and a few proposed battles, but nothing has been officially announced. We will update this post with more information, once it gets announced.
Upcoming Battles For King Of The Dot In April
The Bay Area will be having it’s first high profile event in ages, when the West Coast division of King Of The Dot hosts Alcatraz. JC makes his KOTD debut against Caustic, RemyD returns after his impressive performance against QP to battle Pass, and 100 Bulletz faces Dirtbag Dan. QOTR’s Bonnie Godiva also makes her King Of The Dot debut, against Germ Free. There’s also the potential for the J-Pro vs QP battle going down at Alcatraz, but that hasn’t been confirmed.
Upcoming Battles For Don’t Flop In April
Don’t Flop is celebrating Eurgh’s Birthday in a major way on April 27th, with their Check Point event, headlined by Arsonal vs DNA. Also on the card, Charlie Clips makes his Don’t Flop debut against Don’t Flop Champ Tony D, and Conceited makes his debut against Cruger. Clips and DNA will also be teaming up, to face Unanymous and Chris Leese in a 2 on 2 battle. The semi-finals of the Doubles Tournament will also take place at the event.
Don’t Flop also has their annual April Fools event on the 7th, headlined by Deffinition vs Dekay. The April Fools cards are where Don’t Flop typically gets creative, with innovative new ideas for battles. This year is no exception, featuring a 4-way elimination battle, a compliment battle, a mirror match, a compliment mirror match, a sing off, a bad bars battle, a grab bag freestyle battle, a on-beat battle, a beatbox battle, a battle where they trade 4 bars back and forth, and a freestyle gauntlet.
Upcoming Battles In The Philippines In April
The UK isn’t the only travel destination for battlers this month, either. Dizaster and Swave Sevah will both be battling at the Aranata Dreams event in the Philippines, at the Aranata Coliseum. This is the same venue where Ali fought Frazier in the classic “Thrilla In Manilla”. Diz is going up against Loonie, in what will most likely become the most viewed battle on YouTube. Not to be outdone, FlipTop is also hosting an event this month, featuring Bender, Loe Pesci, Charron and Tantrum.
Other Upcoming Battles In April
There’s also a couple of interesting battles going on, throughout the month of April. Big Kannon vs Lil Dave and CT vs Daylyt will be on the Spit Dat Heat and Black Ice Cartel card on the 6th. AHAT celebrates their 5th anniversary with John John Da Don vs Danny Myers, Syahboy vs Doms and much more. Conceited has a battle with Jonny Storm for Grind Time Now. M. Ciddy vs Dirt and Young Kannon vs Real Talk are both on the Upstate NY Voicebox Battles card. And finally, JC vs Pooh Bear and M. Ciddy vs Young Kannon are on the Go-Rilla Warfare event in Chicago.
These are just some highlights, featuring some of the more well-established names in battle rap, but there are quite a few other potentially great battles coming up this month.
