Battles have become watered down. Its the corporatization of the battle rap game. The leagues only care about selling out venues and youtube views so they doing shit like copyrighting battles so we can't watch them for free, battle rappers battling anybody just for a check (no fucks given about wins or losses). Niggas are clique-ing up and refusing to battle certain people, using their position to hold other niggas down etc. The passion is gone, its about trying to sell t-shirts and mixtapes now. That's why I ended up falling back for awhile.

I'm 60% with you while guys like Smack are clearly doing it for money I mean he has the right tho, and I feel doing proven grounds and such is the right way to build people up b4 you put them on man cards.

That being said you still have battle rappers who want to dismantle niggas and not just spit hot bars after bars with no personals.. ex. O red... but then you have guys who are stretching their material thin so they can battle 4 times a month or just ramble and ramble without doing much damage to their opponents ex Math & Arsonal, and even Charlie Clips is starting to get to that point.

At the end of the day I believe (don't know for sure) rappers get paid off on the amount of youtube views it seems. So if you dont like certain trash rappers, stop watching their battles.

Anyways there's alot of overlooked talent. Im discovering new shitall the time btw...
