I dont think its because he doesnt want to come here. He just hasnt yet lol. He likes all his battles to take place in Toronto, pretty much his home. And kotd caters to that cuz he's their star rapper.

He can be heard talking shit to dizaster in Arcane vs Pat Stay saying that he wants the battle to happen in Cali. The battle between pat and diz.

And yes i think Verb will win, but hes battling Diz in the bay so they will dick ride a lot of diz's weak shit. But they are usually a good crowd and hype up out of towners too.

I have Aye Verb winning against Diz. Verb comes up with some really good angles but sometimes he stops too short. I know Dizaster is gonna come with perm jokes. Sometimes I wish Diz could turn back the clock and pull out a performance like he did vs Nocando. About the battle with Pat Stay, if you watch the battle closely between the 2 and and 3rd round Diz and Pat were talking and Pat told him "you know imma fuck you up right?, maybe we should do it in Cali" Pat would dismantle Diz

Diz is still in my top 5, but its sad to see what he's become post canibus( which is a top 5 alltime bodybag/performance in battle rap). He was maybe 80 % of himself vs porich, but other than that he hasnt even been half as good as he was pre canibus.

Diz top 5? Eh, not even close for me. I don't think his Canibus battle is a top 5 bodybag either. He bodybaged an old ass washed up nigga that showed up in a sling, a chubby shirtless hypeman, and less than a page worth of half-remembered rhymes and a notebook full of more weak bars. Diz had no opponent. He wasn't just battling a nigga that wasn't at his best, he was battling a nigga that was at rock bottom. It was just embarrassing for everyone involved and just hard to watch, especially for Canibus fans.

The shit Diz spit was the same personals any battle rapper in his position would've spit. The best thing from Diz in that battle were the few freestyles he had. The rest was shit we've heard before by Em or whoever on wax or a variation on pretty obvious personals any rapper in his position would have exploited, or rather, would have been an idiot not to have exploited. I'm not saying Diz wasn't in top form in that battle, but I certainly don't call that shit a top 5 bodybag. Shit was just hard to watch. Not enjoyable at all.

Im a bis fan, and i was goin for bis before the battle came out. Ill pull up the battle thread from that year, so u can see I was goin for bis lol. I dont really see anybody beatin Diz that night, he reached a zone not alot of people can get to. U say he did what any other rapper would do, but not too many can do what he did how he did it. Look at round 3, not too many people can do that (flow, freestyle,etc). Look at bis face, that shit was pure ether, Bis' soul left his body that night. Shit u can even look at the legend supernat's face when diz was spittin, that shit was bugged df out man..

I'm just not impressed by a bodybag when a nigga didn't even show up. People that gas up Diz's performance remind me of the same people that gas up Iron Solomon's performance against Ness. Of course they had insane personals, how could they not? These niggas failures were played out in the public spotlight. There's no exposure there. Just exploiting a gold mine of public failings. Diz came hard and correct and put on a great performance, but I'm not calling that a top 5 bodybag. I can't even watch that battle. And outside of the personals and freestyles, he didn't really have any memorable bars that night.

Pat's 2nd round alone was the nail in the coffin. Started with jokes, then went to some real rap shit and said " U spit shit u gotta think about, I spit shit u gotta look in the mirror and think about" THENNNNNn said " ima show you how it suppose to be done" being lyrical" . and had 3 back to back bars that was as ill as any of arcanes that night (1.oxy moron 2.marge simpson 3.hitler) shit was deadly.
