Thinkin about buying an electric smoker

Speaking of electric, does anyone have an electric grill? If so, how is it? Is there any noticable difference in taste verses food cooked on a regular grill?

Only ask cuz we stay on the 2ND floor of our apartment, and only the 1 floor occupants are allowed to have actual grills.

I need this question answered b4 I get an electric grill.

Trying to avoid gettin a real one and burning the apartment complex down people.

Yeah, there is.

If you are use to food on a smoker/charcoal grill, it won't compare. It will be like cooking your for directly on the hot coil of an electric stove lol

I grill/smoke year round my motto is if you can eat it I can smoke it. I made some smoked mashed potatoes with sour cream,chives and bacon bits niggas was clowin on me said I went to far but then they ate it all up and wanted the recipe smh

I want the recipe !

I grill cabbage , romaine lettuce for salad , watermelon , peaches , corn , pineapple , tomatoes , etc

Its real simple

Mash potatoes (instant or the real deal I use instant for time and ease)

1/4 - 1/2 stick of butter

Black Pepper and Sea Salt (to taste)

Sour Cream and Ranch dressing (just enough to keep the potatoes creamy smoking can dry them out)

Chopped bacon or bacon bits

Mix all that in a dish you can put on the grill

Smoke them (indirect heat) for about 15-20 minutes a low/med fire with hickory wood

when done top it with some chives and shredded cheese

If the rain holds off this weekend I'll have pics of it

I was in newburg I'm back in Lexington for the moment I still work in d'ville when I'm there in usually with my peoples in jtown I got some fam out west tho. If we que up I'll hit you up

Moms can't cook for you no more but she still sneak you some veggies and shit, hence the potatoes
