You're comparing a guy in Geno that was not ready to play in the first place but in spite of that showed progress from year 1 to year 2. Still was inconsistent but showed progress and improved. Geno looked better in his first 2 years than Fitz looked in his 4th and 5th seasons.

If throwing 13 INT's and losing 5 fumbles against 13 TD's is some kind of marked improvement you're standards are waaayyyyy too low.

And the difference is Fitzpatrick was a fucking 7th round pick out of Harvard while Geno was a 2nd round pick. Nobody drafted Fitzpatrick thinking they were gonna build a team around him and have him as their franchise QB. And no sorry in Fitzpatrick's 5th season he threw for 23 TD's/15 INT's. I'll take a +8 TO ration over -5 any day of the week.

due geno is trash and worse he has low intangibles. you should know that from how he finished up at west Virginia. First 5 games he hyping himself for the hesiman and then they start losing and he pouting on the sideline looking like he don't wanna be out there

Once again, his contract is for 4 years, and why should an entirely new front office and coaching staff feel obligated to just hand the starting job over to a quarterback in year 4 if absolutely no improvement is shown in year 3 when they know this same quarterback played a role in getting the last front office and coaching staff fired? All of this just assuming that no improvement is being shown in year 3 (the current year of his contract for you emotional folks).

Is that all you have to hang your hat on? Geno had more turnovers but that does not change the fact that Geno showed more promise and has the benefit of upside whereas Fitz is older and you know what he is at this point.
