greenwood1921;2627532 said:Our secondary's issues are overrated, bruh. We could use another CB, but the way the season ended got a lotta nigga's gassed.
**And let's not forget that the same defense that got handled in the playoffs by the Packers also BEAT the Packers two months earlier and held them to 17 points.**
Our 3rd year safety Will Moore got 5 picks last year and is a top talent.
Dunta is in a do-or-die season.
Grimes is a pro-bowler.
I don't like Decoud, but he's serviceable.
Our problem is actually NB (nickel back). Signing Nnamdi could let Grimes and/or Dunta play the nickel which would make our CB group GOAT, but all we really need is a decent 3rd corner for passing situations.
Lame ass Chris Owens got dealt with play after play all season.
^^^^ After using the football part of my brain instead of the CS/Sportscenter/prisoner of the moment side of my brain -- the decision to trade up to get Julio and Joaquizz Rodgers makes perfect sense.
If you really know football you know that THIS is what really happened in that GB game...
- Game was tied 14-14 going into the half until Matty tried to force a predictable sideline pass to Roddy that got pick-sixed. (*Julio!)
- GB got the ball back with it at 21-14 and scored again, which forced us to abandon our usual ball-control offense and start gunning down field. (*Julio)
- And when *any* team falls behind and has to toss out the gameplan and gun down the field, the defense is in the advantage. They can "pin their ears back" and just rush the QB and fall back in coverage which can cause turnovers and a whole lot of 3-and-outs. (*Julio/Rodgers!)
- ^^^^ Which put our defense on the field too long, thus exposing weaknesses like Chris Owens. (*Julio!)
Julio and Rodgers gives our offense enough depth and options to not have to force it constantly to one wideout and control the clock and the ball which is what we do best anyway -- and open up big plays downfield to Roddy and/or Julio. Or even Harry Douglas who I hear is finally one hundred percent. Not to mention Eric Weems will get more burn on offense this year.
Keep in mind, the above is what made the Patriots so vicious in their 16-0 season with Moss. Their defense wasn't as good as their rank, but with the offense being able to do whatever the fuck they wanted (burn the clock, control the ball, and go downfield whenever) their defense didn't have to do much else but defend early leads which makes Defenses look A LOT better than what they really are. (especially statistically and on the scoreboard and sportcenter.)
And we just happen to have someone in our front office that had something to do with both the Julio trade and that Patriots Dynasty....

Mantequilla;2633365 said:Reality is reality my nicca, only Julio dominating from day 1 will make me say (& think) otherwise of the great Failcons
Ravens stay shady homie
greenwood1921;2633420 said:I'm just sayin' what happened in the game. If somebody doesn't realize that then it says alot about what they know about the game. Feel free to point out what part of that analysis is false.
Oh, and ask the Ravens about the "Failcons". They'll tell you wassup.
Mantequilla;2634056 said:And Im just saying any one could "analyse" what went wrong with any game & state the obvious, thats just making excuses for a loss. Should I do our Pitt loss next?
The GOAT Love Yal dun blessed your thread bruh, now you gotta come harder than that logic Wes nh

**As you can see, I expect there to be much more parity between the teams. A mix of a lot of aging old-guards and up-and-coming young squads usually makes for parity and the NFL basically invented parity. I'd be surprised to see ANY team win more than 12 games this year.
Feel free to catch feelings. 'Cause you know I stay throwin'em. lol
