When we realised we couldn't get 4th, we just concentrated on winning the CL.

Im not hating on chelski winning the CL and FA Cup, I just dont believe a team should automatically qualify for a spot just because they won it.

And the away goal rule, wtf is that? Scoring a goal on your opponents pitch isnt equal to moving a mountain.

i think the defending champs should be automatically let in to defend, but winning it doesnt mean your gonna be shit the next year though, chelsea wont be contenders next year, man utd, city, liverpool (yes i said it) and tottenham (i said it again) gonna finish top 4... brendan gonna get liverpool playing great football, and tottenham will do well under avb, if he keeps bale, modric and van der vart, they already made good signings and the rumors of the other players is promising... the fact he had to play with spoilt brat chelsea players would of made him stronger, its the experience he needed, before he went to chelsea... hes older and wiser now... hes a great manager... time well tell though...

No complaints. We lost to City, who ended up winning the league. No shame in that. Lost to Newcastle by two amazing goals by Cisse. The Liverpool game was absolutely meaningless at that point. We beat them 3 days earlier to win the FA Cup and dropped NINE players from that team to rest them up for the CL final a week and a half later. At that point we could not move up or down the table so there was nothing to play for. Goign the distance in the FA Cup and CL took a toll. We played 61 games. So if it meant resting players for a meaningless game and take a loss, then no problem. At the end of it, it paid off. We couldn't win the league when RDM got things back on track, but the competitions that we still had a chance in, we capitalised and won them. Remember we were down and out when we left Napoli trailing 3-1. And drew at home and had to do a replay on the road in the FA Cup.
