^ I hate admitting this, but we miss Fernando, he had that clutch gene [when he was playing for us].

^ 50 million, he wouldn't have missed this wide open opportunity while playing for Liverpool: FACT!

Chelsea defender John Terry is facing charges over the alleged racist abuse of QPR defender Anton Ferdinand after the Crown Prosecution Service's verdict on Wednesday afternoon.

Terry was initially accused of making racist remarks towards Ferdinand during Chelsea’s 1-0 defeat to QPR at Loftus Road on October 23.

Shortly after a video was put up on YouTube of the incident although Terry insisted in a statement afterwards that what he had said had been taken out of context.

"I've seen that there's a lot of comments on the internet with regards to some video footage of me during the game," he said at the time. "I'm disappointed that people have lept to the wrong conclusions about the context of what I was seen to be saying to Anton Ferdinand.

He added, "I would never say such a thing, and I'm saddened that people would think so."

The decision was made just days after prosecutors were handed more evidence as they deliberated over whether they should bring forward charges.

The FA can now complete its inquiry into the matter having been waiting for the CPS to announce its decision on the England captain.

This announcement comes just a day after Liverpool striker Luis Suarez was given an eight match ban and 40,000 pounds fine by the FA for using ‘insulting words’ against Manchester United defender Patrice Evra.

Meanwhile, on the pitch Terry is battling to be fit for Chelsea's trip to Tottenham on Thursday having picked up an Achilles injury in training. A win for the Blues will lift them above Spurs and into third place in the Premier League.

Liverpool's backing Suarez to the death. I guess that's what's hot on the streets: defending racists. I didn't expect any less from a club that supported Gerrard after the video evidence of him jumping that DJ.

Poyet can GTFO with the 'cultural' excuse. He didn't just hop off the plane from Uruguay.

Chelsea Football Club today received notification from the Crown Prosecution Service that John Terry has been charged with a racially aggravated public order offence.

John has made it clear he denies the charge and is determined to do all he can to prove his innocence.

Chelsea FC has always been fully supportive of John in this matter and there is no question that we will continue to be so.

The club finds all forms of discrimination abhorrent and we are proud of the work we undertake campaigning on this important issue.

Chelsea will not be commenting further on the subject while the legal process runs its course.

Terry has categorically denied the claims and vowed to clear his name, while Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas stated earlier on Wednesday that everyone at the club would stand by the defender regardless of the CPS verdict.

If Terry is found guilty, I have no problem with that. At least is this case, there is video evidence being studied and a proper investigation. But in Suarez's case, it's one man's word vs the next.

But we now how these organisations love to protect their favourites.

Remember nothing came out of this:

Chelsea's messing up too, don't get me wrong.

Poyet's comments convinced me that Suarez did say some shit to Evra. He first tried to blame it on the culture, and then Evra for not being a saint. It's not an excuse. It's unacceptable, full stop.
