I remember a few years back Michigan and Georgia (different years, 07 & 08 if I remember correctly) being locked out of the NCG because they didn't win their conference (Urban Meyer was even making this case)...But now that stipulation no longer holds, since it's Bama...It's funny, considering I've now seen Urban Meyer trying to making the case for LSU vs BAMA II as the NCG. I wonder why...

I was telling someone this in some other thread. I cant believe Bama is being considered for the NC game even though they wont win their conference. That was the arguement they gave for why Georgia shouldnt have gotten in the NC.... In 07 Georgia was clearly one of the best teams. We smoked Hawaii in that bowl game. Finished the season ranked 3rd I think....

we gonna have a split NC this year ...................this is gonna be like Michigan / Nebraska co champs in '97, nobody is gonna walk away happy.

We definitely need a playoff system now, because in my eyes; Okla. St. , OU, Bama, LSU, Oregon, Boise (regardless of the shit ya give Boise), Wisky all deserve to be in a playooff....Clemson as well.

I agree. But I also stand by what I always say when teams and fans start crying about "league rules"....

...We all knew the rules before the game/season started.

Every team you mentioned (aside from maybe Boise) knew that they couldn't be denied if they ran the table -- but most didn't. It's no guarantee that LSU will either.

Don't see a split national champ. That would make the BCS look like shit (even tho it is), because that Nebraska/Michigan shit is the reason the BCS was born.

I just see the sec champ vs. Oregon or Okey Lite in the NCG, but the second-best Bowl will be the best and most entertaining game. Fans and the media will argue about who is the best, but the BCS won't.

they're 7 and 8 , how is that not getting respect??.....if Clemson wins out they'll be in the top 5 , cuz LSU still has to play Arkansas , and Oklahoma Vs OK State has to play , all those teams are above both Clemson and Va Tech
