Top 5 NCAA Recognized Titles

1. Oklahoma 16

2. Notre Dame 15

3. Alabama/Ohio State 14

5. USC 11

Every program has the right to "claim" as many of those NCAA-Recognized titles as they want. Oklahoma only claims 7 because they were #1 in ALL of the polls in those years. Some schools claim more. (Which explains Alabama's "9".)

UGA looks solid for next year too, but Mark Richt is known for slow starts. Hopefully there won't be any "lay downs" in the sec next year since the two powers will be weakened. I remember when SEC games were ALL worth watching cause ranking and championship-hope didn't matter - anybody could get got. Now you have to watch the Big XII or Pac 12 for that.

USC is a easy favorite in the Pac 12.

Oklahoma is a easy fav in the XII with Landry coming back and so many players on defense coming back + Mike Stoops is returning as DC.

I like Michigan in the Big 10, but Ohio State won't be a pushover. Not just because of their coach, but they've got some decent recruits the last couple of years that should mature.

If FSU can't lock down the ACC in 2012 -- they never will -- or they need a new coach. I know they had a few injuries, but they gave up on the season after we beat'em in Tallahasee in a game the whole world wanted them to win.
