I don't think the Vita is dead. After all they did mention that they are supporting it with the Playstation Now service which bascially gives it a bigger library of games than any handheld ever. That said, it seems like they see it more as a companion piece to the PS4 than it's own standalone system.

I'm really digging Splatoon. They're only showing one arena and not many weapons but I see the potential hours of endless gameplay. It's like Nintendo's own version of Portal. Wii U is like the real successor to Gamecube and Dreamcast.

Actually the people that should be most happy with what Sony presented should be the people that came over from the 360. They'll get access to a lot of what they missed. Depending how things are priced for Playstation Now, that could be a really good deal.
